Yes something is broken. Arms don’t bend like that. I really hope that’s not the last we see jmart. He’s had a rough run of injuries could see him call it a career

Not confirming, but I’d guess that there will be plates and screws involved. That was brutal and he took it like a champ !
I love the guy, such a great dude and a solid competitor. Bummed if this pushes him into retirement.

I’ve watched a lot of racing but that arm bend was as bad as I’ve seen.  When I saw the replay I thought compound fracture, hope not.

I'm no doctor, but that looked like a broken fucking wrist. Kind of like Seth's in Steel Roots

It could be a wrist too, but what you saw was a broken forearm.  It didn't look compounded; more like a "dinner fork sign."

He's in the wrong place at the wrong time quite a bit. Just move up to the 450s already FFS.

I kind of feel bad for Club in this scenario. J Mart going there was a big risk for them. If he ended up being off in SX (he was) and even worse, if he ended up being way off in MX (he was), they look like they can’t compete at a winning level as a team. They might not get another shot at hosting a past champion. I hope they have a great year with Enzo in 24.

It's not very often when they show a crash from an injury , that was that precise , and that arm injury looked brutal. It looked bad when he first hit the ground , but then it got ran over , pushing that arm in a direction it's not supposed to go. Feeling bad for him right now. That looked painful.

It looked horrendous on the replay but the way he was holding it out with no support confused me.. Cause you'd think if it was broken anywhere it'd be too painful to just hang out there like that.. Same goes for dislocation or similar!

Definitely not suggesting it's not any of those things but it confused me

It may have been more comfortable than resting or supporting it. I wouldn't know though, I've never had a wrist that mangled.

In my unfortunately extensive experience in both broken wrists and shoulder dislocations haha it's the 'bounce' that kills you so I would've thought he'd wanna keep it as stable as possible.. Maybe it's a burn? but that replay looked like it twisted and bent and broke and... grolsch haha

Not sure why the downvotes, mid-forearm is what I saw, too.

I'm no kind of doctor, but I agree.

I hope not and obviously it sucks for both J Mart and Club. He can't catch a break (poor word choice here I know), really hope it's not as bad as it looked, and hope he can find a way to get back to his old self on the bike in general, he's a bad dude and I want to see him succeed but something's been missing for a while.

But yeah it looked BAD

Yes, because the 450s never have crashes in the first turn 🙄

Maybe a lame opinion, but that’s a replay they need to pull from socials. No need to keep showing that type of injury for likes and shares.

I bet Ping had a bit of a flashback. Reminded me of when he folded his arm in that super moto race. I’m surprised he was just holding it out without support from his other arm. I expected his ulna / radius to be snapped with a floppy arm. It still erks me a bit to see Coop do so well and him struggle. I know JMart is over it but I still feel Coop moved over on him in the air all those yrs ago and started his injury decline. JMart is a warrior and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him mount another comeback, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him call it. Either way he’s had a hell of career with nothing to be ashamed of.

Not too often you see someone get up and damn near put themselves on the medic cart and start strapping themselves in, he was definitely in painSad   The commentators did a good job of not reacting the way we did on the couch.

Probably because you stated like it was a fact when really it's just your opinion and a guess.

That is the nasty part of our sport. I felt sick to my stomach for him when I saw that. That was a brutal event. I hope he heals up and comes back like KR did.
