Used bike prices cooling down?

There’s a couple 90,s cr125,s totally apart with new parts included for under 900.  A rare super clean 94 yz125 with 2 pc pipes for 3,250. It had oem style ceet graphics with matching seat cover. 05 kx125 for 2,800 . Bikes r on fb I put 500 mi radius from gb  but there not that far. 

Any thoughts or updates on the current used bike market. 2 year old 450 and newer? 

New prices have been dropping. Ktm and kawi have been really aggressive on pricing so make sure you check new prices before negotiating on a used one. 

I would not spend over $6K for a 2 year old 450 unless it has less than 15  hours on it, trail ridden, vet owned, etc.  Better off getting a new bike for about ~$1500-$2K more.  As stated above, new bike pricing is getting aggressive to move inventory.   You can find good deals on new bikes.

My 05 cr125 has been on a showroom floor since August. A week ago I was under the trl in the dirt in a dock working on the junk. I get back in the cab & my phone rings. A guy is interested in my bike. Yesterday I think it was I,m running massive hrs doing stops & sleeping with the trk off because I can’t stand being in it while it’s running. So I,m freezing the last week +.  My pal says you owe me 200 bucks the guy put a small amount down. And in a week or 2 he’ll hv the rest. I asked for how much . He said 3,600 he had 3,699 on the bike. I,m so happy it sold I need the money real bad.  Making nothing out here.  I delivered to 2 tower banks in downtown Omaha . It’s all 1 way streets my gps is done so google map it was. They changed the address lastnight to a diff bank. This morning I,m sitting in the st & there’s no team to unld me. I,m making calls . They changed the address again. I got into it Big time with work . Tell me why I can’t get paid, tell the boss that tight f ing Jew to pay the 410 of antigel I asked 12 times for. I need to buy a gps & hv no money. Tell me why I get 8 hr hand unlds & can get paid. I get less than 1/2 the miles of some illegal that speaks no English. Because i,m in the trl 80 hrs a week for free. Then you wonder why your watched on satellite & the whole industry wants all the Eastern Europeans out. Mega carriers r teaming up & funding the dnd of all you. 2 .5 million organized crime want all you out. All you did is f up the whole industry. And tell that fucking bitch to pay my shit unless she likes prison food. The Labor dept of iL. Called me in Oct for a claim against 4 other Jewish scumbags that owe me ovr 200 grand. I asked them how about this co. You hv s massive amount of slave labor claims against you. So I,m driving down 2 way streets google keeps popping off my phone , it can’t find the location, etc.  I get to the other tower bank & there,s no team of people. I,m making more calls. A federal police agent real nice says where trying to transport federal prisoners the rear of the trl is blocking it. I,m at a stop lt. He says I think they might hv s intercom . I find it & a door into a basement opens. I hv to get into the intersection of 1 ways to setup. It’s very tight like all thd 24 ft trk properties I go to. And has steel post & concrete Collums . So many more details of bs.  I,m at our office that is not locked . I went in & checked stuff out a log of brokers filing lawsuits, stacks of paper work with equipment out of service. Fits the nightmare of forking here perfectly.  I also said what is that shit ?  You guys surround me & yelling because I asked about my hand unld hrs not being paid. I had a 1960,s hunting knife in my back pocket. Get a foot closer & I drive it so hard in his rib cage I would hv his feet in the air. You can’t act like your gonna assault me. Thd black drivers would’ve shot all of you. You fuck heads don’t know that we hv a right to defend ourselves. A different 1 calls 2 hrs later , he’s acting like a organized crime guy. I said nobody fears any Eastern European in America.  Worst trk I ever saw and I get stuck  in it. My was hole  body is f ed, neck is blown out & everything.  Ps the boss never called me .  Thd burning antifreeze in the cab has me soo sick. I,m cleaning this pile of shit out & I,m done.  If I don’t post by 5pm that means they murdered me.

I called the Bolingbrook police. They get numerous calls a week of these Eastern European organized crime co.s. . Threatening to kill drivers that try to get paid. I hv a ton of major injuries & I can’t hardly talk I,m Soo sick from breathing burning antifreeze.  They might hv left the country or took off running. Because no one is here . Office doors were left open. Warehouse is in the back where I,m at now. I was told yesterday where going hv a talk when you get here.  The driver that was severely beaten & hands tied behind his back . And hung in a trailer . Gives me the creeps.  I,m packing up - cleaning the trk out and leaving.

I bought a 1997 KDX220 for $1200 11 years ago and sold it a couple months ago for $3300.

That's insane. Nebraska is staying about the same...just don't look at what people are asking for 85s and you are good...

$4500 will get you a 2020 cr250f around here all day

I have had my 2022 CRF250R listed at 7k all winter. It's pristine (37 hours) I feel like people don't really buy bikes during the winter in the Northeast.

I'm still trying to figure out who you are. There are a few of us here in WI that have been wondering, but nobody has any idea at all. 

It won’t be long now we are fighting a war on more fronts than I can count. WWIII is in full swing and we are going down in flames.

I mean there are a bunch of shady Eastern European trucking companies based out of Illinois being used as a mob laundry, but one has to think only someone with an absolute shit D.A.C. record would ever drive for them. 

You are right that bikes don't sell well in cold weather areas in the winter. However, MSRP is $8300 on a 2024. From what I have seen they are sitting on dealer floors now and not flying out like they did 3 years ago. I can get a Yamaha for MSRP plus sales tax so I assume I can get a Honda for a similar deal. Would you rather pay $7k for a 2 year old used bike or 8300 (maybe less?) for a new bike?

Pro leave that place if you haven’t already man. Stay away from that shady crap. 

Agreed price is just too high. My buddy took 57 for his 22 after a month of little interest.

Yeah, I will see what happens once it heats up a bit. I did have an offer for 7,000 in the Fall; this was with Factory Connection revalve and linkage. I actually sold the suspension to someone with the same bike with 20 hours on it. I told it for 1k, so probably happy to get anything close to 7. 6300 (2k under MSRP on a new one) is probably right on the money. I think I sold my Yamaha a few years back with the same hours / years for around that price. 

Shopping for a clean 2000+ KDX 200.  They haven't come down!

I am seeing here in PNW selling there 21+ bikes for around 4-6k. Some lower hours and some higher. Ive also seen some brand new bikes for right at MSRP that people bought and are selling. Saves on sales tax and fees.

In Texas I've seen a few really clean, low hour 2023 CRF250's selling for about $6000. 

I,m alive it was very windy moving out the trk door kept slamming me , dirt swirling & my back, hip, groin & knee- from back was high pinching pain. I had my wrist taped up , ligaments and the 2 bones I broke in August . I rebroke it in Nov doesn’t stop throbbing. I had a spring jockey on it kept rising & showing the hunting knife. The boss wouldn’t come near me & never said a word. My dac & psp is clean.  Remember I drove in the 70,s on a farm. Then 85-88 hauling construction equipment, I was a const  worker not a driver. 89 the biggest pipeline utility co in America, the world actually highered me. I had to get a chauffeurs lic a CDL did not exist. I requested to be in charge of our worlds strongest hhg rig that had every drilling record in the world. Trained up by a captain of the dot we hired that was in charge of all the 16 divisions figure out what permits we needed, what men r driving what I evaluated there skill level & knowledge, did all the maintenance, had a card certificate stating I could do rd side maintenance. Crazy nothing exists like that now & its illegal. Drove the king of the rd a Super Liner v8 Mack, trks with air starters, air wipers, 2 stick shifters, etc. I,m old school as it gets. Organized the fleet to get loaded onto a ship. Huge ovr size permit lds, super tanker, did. everything . Trying to make more money because we didn’t get our union wages , I was in 3 unions. The last few yrs if your not military or a minority a part of wotc . Your not getting the highest paid jobs. But you will run up to 3 days searching for mts with no pay . The military guy doesn’t hv to bring a mt in as the rule to get a ld out. Because us older even 73 yr olds run to get them. At jb the 2st time ovr 100 older union yellow drivers there. You should here them give it to the no exp military drivers . Nobody wants to higher a driver with 30+ yrs exp. Hand unloading I say I get paid to drag 40k out . They say I hv to do it. I day no I don’t . That would be slavery inside a 190 degree trl. I,m driving the ld back to the shipper. They go bananas. If I get a ld to the ne . I ask what is your north east rate. They ask what is that. I say in 04 we got 250 on any ld pu or del in the ne. In a tanker.  Nobody wants to pay anymore . Today a driver from s. Jersey to Boston gets 125 at best a day.  Ps the ne traffic is brutal. Out in the boonies in Me. To dc is 39 hrs straight 2 thx giving ago. The worst traffic & wrecks I ever saw. Nowhere to park to piss, no food, etc. then drive to Richmond,Va. then to Nc. I can’t even remember how many hrs after the 39 hrs to dc. In 06 all inner city ne to Chicago 160 hrs of driving in 1 week. I did 60 hrs straight I hv no idea how I lived threw it in a tanker. I couldn’t stand any minut function your body does. And Real figity like your dying. That’s why most drivers died at aprox 43 yrs ago. Sleep 5 hrs and run 38 hrs straight. I can be 100% perfect like a lazer going down the rd , extremely Courteous yet. But after that is the danger zone.  I never did any illegal drugs to stay awake. 23 summer in Ct. I talked to another driver he said the same thing 30 some hrs & he’s good.  Funny in the 90,s I always said I would never drive a trk for a living. Even tho I drove the hhg rig everywhere. I didn’t see myself as a trucker really. 

The drivers that haven’t become destroyed zombies from decades of abuse . That’s where we work. As a driver point of view you know what is here for me. It’s all about in 1099,s words , he,s a Very Strong Driver. That’s what they say. Haha  they text Great job when you run 20-30 + hrs straight even in storms. I never take stupid chances of putting anyone’s life In danger. That’s why I never had a wreck. I think I may be the only driver since the 80,s to claim that.  08 to about now really you see the 130 trk pile ups. It starts with a wall of snow, I get that ok 20+ trks pile up. But there’s video of when it cleared & 100 more smash rt into the pile up. With out hitting the brakes.  I had a lot people ask me why ? I told them the honest truth . There zombies from yrs of abuse from there co.s . The country doesn’t care about them . You’re treated like a sub human.  They don’t care about there Life at all there suicidal.  The megs carriers really go after the military for the tax credit. And hv so many control aspects from the co rules & culture from the filming & the cab bring mic,d up. That they just stare at there boots. I told a # of them don’t let them destroy your spirit. It’s just a job that pays shit. Always stand up for yourself because that’s all you hv out here. Keep your spirit strong & all the dynamic aspects of being a man r alive.  I actually hv a blast meeting new people everyday.  The crazy insane verbal abuse from w2 co.s never fazed me. A terminal Mangr yelling at a driver that stutters in orientation. I stood up & said your way out line . He just asked I question of we where told you had trks . And how many days do we hv to sit at home ?  Everyone here would like to know why did you hv us travel from numerous states to work .then you  don’t hv any trks . Answer the question.  That bitch was interfering with my dispatcher & I.  Your on the hit list if you ever think you hv any rights. Ps quite a few Chicago 1099,s r operating out of So Cal. Now . They use virtual reality offices.  Some figured out that all of Chicago land is under satellite surveillance because of the numerous tearist . And there being watched also.  Because of freight gone missing, freight that is safely sensitive getting cross docked. Unlded and sitting on some shady warehouse where a broke worker could tamper with it. Like medication or cancer drugs, anything food. Or take copies of a military sensitive docs, no I,m not Kidding. Haha people hv no idea what’s going on.  Deregulation means no regulation. 3 brokers called wanting to know where there freight is while posting this.  I could send them a pic of there freight sitting in a warehouse out of route. But I said my neck is injured bad another driver has the ld. Call the co.  Of course I won’t get my last 2 checks as usual.  I renewed my lic in Nov & I had 1 1/2 yrs on my haz mat but it didn’t transfer ovr. Hz is a pain to get every 4 yrs. 

There not paying my last 2 checks. But I could text work & say I,m texting this pic to the brokers of there freight illegally sitting on a different warehouse flour. Then I might as well get the other thousands of dollars owed. very Important question . If it’s money owed from work rendered  work that I did.  Could I be charged with extortion?   Plz no joking about this matter.
