And just to prove my point, look at the last lap in the second 450 heat. While the camera follows Tomac we can see Ken closing in on Dunge every split time and not a word from Weege about it. And when the camera FINALLY switches to Roczen and Dunge Weege is in for the biggest surprice of his life..
I agree those guys should see some of what is happening in the split times...like Tomac on a tear through the pack or today, Dungey reeling in the top three midway through the moto. Do they not see the split times as we do?

But then again, Weege's, "Wait a miunute!" is part of his style.

I really like him in the booth. If he won’t commit to the job full time I’d like to see one race a year, perhaps a track close to his heart that he does the job at. He is top notch

He has some great calls!

I dig his style and experience. That dude was badass in his day. I also liked how he acknowledged that both riders and bikes have progressed over the years. Broc is perfect for a color commentator. I hope they keep him.

Brock is great, my only complaint with him is he never gets excited! He is so calm much like how he raced calm and precise. Great for information for race fans not so much for excitement with the new comers to the sport.

There’s this real big annoying scoreboard on the left of the screen. This may unlock your keys to the race.

I looked up to Broc Glover as a kid, he had kind of a hero like status to me, after hearing Rick Johnson ( another rider I looked up to ) talk about him on the WTS it put a smile on my face because that’s exactly how I thought he would be in person.
They say you should never meet your heros because you might leave disappointed, but I have a feeling that he hasn’t left many people with that impression.

Broc was ahead of his time. Wearing the pink outfit in the 80’s. That is Sooooo. 2022. Plus let “Brock Bye”. Perfect words for the woke crowd. Yes it’s Broc’s time 2022. 😷😷😷

I think his commentary is the BEST! Very articulate, knowledgeable, humorous and a great personality. That being said, I think his voice is a little too monotone. It would be like what I would sound like. If he could liven up the enthusiasm in his voice a bit then I would put them right there at the top. Bailey included.

Actually spoke to Broc about this subject. He's had some cursory broadcast coaching but he looked into some more intensive, relevancy coaching. He said unless he was going full time in the booth...the cost was....say substantialPinch . That guy is a memory magnet....if the broadcaster paid for the coach...Broc would pretty much be "The Man (in the booth)."

Brock are great, Weege on the other hand.. not so much.. never seems to keep up with the riders time gaps while the camera is on other riders, and then when the camera switches back to the first riders it’s the same old WAIT A MINUTE! shout about something that we all could see happen in the timing and scoring for a couple of laps.

You lost me at Broc "are" great.

Bondo forced it to be his calling card. Always has to pretend like shit is shocking because it’s that hard for a spotter to decipher live timing

Broc doesn't need the money or the headache of full time announcing.
I hope he's still banking massive residual checks off of his starring role in the greatest MX movie of all time (Winners Take All). Cool
He's been great as color and insight commentator. I thought McGrath did really well also, and would like to hear a broadcast with just MC and Weege.

It's a damn shame that the shit streaming service is taking some of the focus off of the great racing & commentary this year.

Broc has been great. Smart and well-spoken. Great insight.

It's interesting to hear him, a normal human being, speaking like a normal human being, compared to a professional announcer who needs to keep the excitement level high.

If your buddy came over to watch the race, and he spoke like Weege or Lee Diffey the whole time, you'd wonder what he was on.

The Golden Boy delivers Gold.
For years we've heard Riders, Mechanics, and Team managers give vague answers to what specific bike setup changes were made.
Broc lay's it out. "Honda backed off the High Speed compression dampening so the shock won't lock up on the square edges that this track develops."

Thank you Broc, Finally, someone that realizes we aren't all newbie's to MX.

He's a great pairing with Weege

I think Broc is the best of the ex-racer commentators. He not only brings a lifetime of pro racing insight; he's also been working in the industry for many years and brings all that collective knowledge into the commentary. On top of all that he's well-spoken and able to coordinate very well with Weege, which is harder than it seems. For us moto heads, he really brings it all together without the corny pandering to the mainstream crowd but without alienating them with too much inside lingo. Also, he's one of the friendliest and genuinely nice humans you can hope to meet at the track.

His calm, but very genuine enthusiasm for the sport is really cool to hear.

They all seem to do that. From what I can see watching on TV, I usually know what's going down before they do.

David Bailey was awful good in his time on air. Understand there was an MXSports or RacerX piece of Hangtown with Glover at the old Plymouth track last yr reminiscing about the old track.
