Here is Marv and family in Texas when he is not racing. Difference is Marv still loves his job.

Much harder to travel with a baby. AC can’t drive 30 mi in his Benz to Dayton. Not to upset his fan boys. But he’s milking the team 100% for some time now.  I don’t get the factory’s now throw a million dollars away on a guy. But they can’t support amateur racing.

Kawi should talk to Nichols, Savatgy, Webb, Cooper, RJ, Hunter (buyout?) and or if there is a clause or buyout on AC deal as well. Lot guys open for next year. Spot at Honda as well with Jett moving up and  sexton going to KTM

Good for AC going for it this weekend. I feel like he knows the clock is ticking on his career.

I would have never guessed AC's career would go the way it did after his first race... Nothing is promised in this sport

Found it really odd that they were in his home state for Daytona and not much mention of him at all much less an interview for the broadcast. Things that make you go hmmm

His last name isn't Lawrence, so the broadcast does not care.

Absolutely! See Forkner and many others as well. That is why current champs like Tomac and Webb are so remarkable. Tough sport!

Nichols? Have you seen the rides he has put in on the Factory Honda? Also I like Savatgy, but he also can't stay healthy. Most logical would be J Coop or RJ. Webb would cost them Anderson money, if not more.

Also no one is going to know what rides are open next year until Eli decides what he's gonna do. Then the cards will fall into place.

Far from soft and unfortunately a lot older than you think I am. I hate how mine and older generations think athletes of their time were bigger, stronger and tougher than current athletes. It’s very disrespectful and complete garbage once you peel back the nostalgia tinted lens.

Because he's already milked them for enough money? If his wrist was that bad he would be done for the season. Nah but a two week break is just what the Doctor ordered. "He already signed a deal for next year, why be out there if your not a 100%?"

Good point. His 100% healthy rides this year were a thing of beauty......🙄

I'm a fan of AC.  He's a good dude!

It sucks that he's had so many injuries.  For his sake.

I hope he finds that balance between the edge and keeping it on 2 wheels, and gets some wins.

Once he retires, I hope he sticks around the sport (for our sake).

I was at that race and said we are witnessing the start of something special, poor guy hasn’t had a good run at all

Adam seems to be a good dude, and handles himself well in interviews and in the media. He's got loads of talent, blazing speed and is a solid top-10 guy...when he's in one piece, which it seems he's not pretty much every year. He seems to be a great "Weimer" to ride in Anderson's shadow without bitching & moaning about the bike too. I guess that's the reason Kawasaki puts up with getting almost zero ROI from him after all the money they've spent on him over the years. I can't imagine they'll do it forever.

That said, I hope AC heals up and shows Kawasaki and his fans that he can be a contender.

Ya and people would like to see Jason Lawerence come back and show the fans he can be a contender. Both scenarios have an equal chance of happening.....

Agreed. 2024 is the year. I bet he becomes the triple champ. SX, MX, and the Supermotocross Champ. Stamp it! The fact that he toughed through a badly broken wrist and only missed Arlington and Daytona? Only to comeback to race Indy, just shows the grit and desire he possess' to win. I hope Eli, Cooper, and Chase are looking over their shoulders. Because there could be a #9 Kawasaki running in 12th that could come cartwheeling from another lane of the track into them!

Honest question since I didn’t read the entire thread but saw some comments about AC missing daytona…

does the team pay for travel and expect their rider to be there signing autographs and making himself available for interviews?

Did AC request not to go to rest up? I’m Genuinely curious and obviously not an insider

Insanity-Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Adam hasn't changed his program since he moved up to a 450. Each year, he's better than he's been and getting back up to speed. Only to be out of the series a few races in. I said it before, he needs a change. Nothing is going to change unless he makes a change. He's still got some time in his career to make some waves, but I cant see him racing much longer with the way things have been going.

man, how can you not like the guy? Humble, well-spoken, and appreciative for his opportunities despite his challenges. I'm a fan.

Damn why didn’t he just put out a video like that before he sat out?  Instead he’s all mysteriouso.  Typical moto industry.

Has to be so frustrating. Hope he can make it through the rest of the season and come out swinging for outdoors. We all know how good he can be outdoors on a 450.
