Interesting decision if he is, considering his injury and all. Hope it goes well for him!

I think it's just Daytona.

Possible he could do a couple after if he goes well.

I heard it’s just Daytona as well. Looking forward to seeing him out there on a 450.

I wish more of the top 250 guys would dip their toes in the 450 class before making the full-time move to 450.

I could have sworn I read a rumor somewhere that Jett was going to race a 450 at Daytona, too. Can't remember where I saw it though.

I've herd a lot of talk from ppl like Daniel Blair and Ricky Carmichael saying he should race it. And ppl trying to talk it up. But never from jetts camp lately. At the end of last season they said it was an option. But since they don't want to risk this title opportunity.

But we all want to see it happen.

Really? Thats excellent. Daytona is definitely a good track for RJ to get some experience in the 450 class. He looked so good at the gp in the sand although Daytona is not as sandy as in previous years. Looking forward to watching that.

RJ hinted on the podium last weekend that he'd be at Daytona on the 450. Cool that Rockstar/Husky is doing this.

Jett, Honda, Mirtl, everyone has shut down the possibility of him riding opposite coast SX since A1. They are all about the "value" of the 250 title which I can totally understand, but I honestly think he could benefit from a couple of gate drops on the 450 before outdoors and Daytona and Atlanta would be perfect. Both speedway so less pure SX and in general maybe a bit lower risk overall with the lapped traffic and tight confines. Fans would go nuts for him on a 450, and he could get some valuable time on the bike.

I feel like he’d beat Craig if he does this.

Cool to see the bike numbered up 🙂

Didn't he say straight-up in his Race Day Live interview that he's on the 450 for Daytona to get a feel for it? I guess that doesn't rule out a couple more rounds if it pans out.

If he does do well, is it as easy as hopping on big stew's 450 that's sitting idle, for the rounds that fit his schedule?

Or would there be concerns over staying healthy and making sure the team still have a Husky to chase wins or follow Jett home in the remaining West/showdown 250 races?

I’m against it, always have been, & was on a Team who did this yrs ago & I saw 1st hand what could happen, so I lived it, & it’s WRONG.

Allowing them to test the waters in the 17 Round 450 SX Championship Series already underway can undermine 450 Title hopefuls should said 250 Rider or Riders run up Front possibly causing an issue that greatly affects the 450 guys Title hopes by a guy or guys who shouldn’t have been there in the 1st place. Those talented few need to stay in their lane until such time.

I see your point, but truly it is up to the championship contenders to win their championship, no matter who they are competing with.

Lol, so dumb. That wouldn’t undermine anything, it would show the lack of performance if anything from the “450 guys”

Yeah, Windham really undermined the title hopefuls in Charlotte in 97.  Oh, wait, so did Lusk and Albertyn (both full time 250 guys at the time).

Maybe, just maybe, the guy going for the title should have gone faster than the rookie, rather than keeping more talented riders out of the class so he can be declared the most talented?

In my expert opinion.

If he stays on 2 wheels, no question. But that doesn't happen often.

He should be on 1 for the outdoor series with Craig.

He was making the point that Windham won that race getting in front of Emig and McGrath who were battling for the title but so did Lusk and Albee even though they were full-time in the 250/premiere class.

I too believe it's just for Daytona, but if it goes well then who knows...

It's interesting to think about where he goes from here. Does he stay in 250SX forever and step into 450s when needed?
