Sexton pass on Stewart

Perfect!

Great racing. Aggressive but not even close to dirty. 

Barcia could use a lesson.

Aggressive but clean. 

Passing for the lead .. probably an $80k difference in pay from 1st to 2nd... I would say its textbook.

I was curious to see if Malcolm from last year was going to pin it down the outside and t-bone him in the next berm 😂

The difference here was that Malcom chose to not blindly turn down and accepted his fate of being block passed.

It was fine. A little aggressive but nowhere near dirty.

I figured the same thing also so I was impressed when he rode next to the track at a slower pace and adjusted his levers and then looked before getting back on the track. Looks like he was riding much smarter by taking his time, or maybe he was just tired and taking a breather. 

Made the pass, didn't take him down but made sure he can't get him back in the next turn. Perfect - and I wanted Mookie to win

If sexton was actually barcia with the exact same move, this place would still burn! 

No it wouldn't. People would actually praise him for finally, 15 seasons in, showing restraint and riding aggressively but not dirty.

You guys are rich..... If that was barcia, there'd be calls for his head....

It was graceful, good pass. Mookie probably didn't complain, he got a nice lil breather down the side of the track. Joking aside, pretty wild it looks like sextons bar or something ripped the clutch lever right out of mookies hand. Kudos to the photographer. 

Because if it was Barcia making that pass, Mookie would have been punted to row 5 of the stands..

Mookie looked tight and little tired before pass and didnt make rhythm. Took little breather and was pushing again before crash. Maybe running at front relaxed is not there yet. 

More people need to ride like barcia. Or even better rex Stanton , dude was a beast and would whoop your ass at the drop of a hat.

He made contact. Possibility of taking himself down also.

I wish Stewart would have leaned in a bit more on Sexton, nominally to stay on the track, but also to interrupt Sexton enough to retain the lead. Show that Malcom isn't to be effed with - without a takeout like Malcolm did to Andersen and ruined both their nights. 

Nah. That pass is fine for anyone. Barcia included. Sexton actually said in the press conference that was more aggressive then he wanted to be but he carried more speed into that corner then he intended. 

Watch Sexton's bike as he brakes hard and pivots...his fork is near bottomed out from the force.

Amazing skill and performance.

It's Rex Staten actually. Jeff Stanton is from Sherwood Mi and Rex Staten is from southern Ca.

And if you've ever sat on a factory bike and tried to compress the forks that's no small task. It takes a shit ton of force to get them to budge. 

mookie proved last year that you dont do him dirty.   Malcolm prob didnt think that was dirty.  more his fault for going off track.
