I mean I’m no track builder/structural engineer but surely this isn’t right?

And less worrying but still, wouldn’t the hay compress at a faster rate than the dirt? Sure it works just never knew this was an appropriate technique for building jumps.

The table top is... interesting.

Pit Row
My buddy went before me and the plywood snapped as he went over it, but it just shaved 6" or so off the bottom. He repositioned it, I ask if its good, and he gives me the thumbs up. I pedal as fast i can, hit it, the plywood snaps in half and over the bars I go.
Ripped my top lip from my nose all they way down to where I had to pieces of a top lip. Broke my nose and tore whatever that flap of skin that holds the lip to the gums is. Had to have a plastic surgeon called to the ER to fix it. Still have the scar 20 some odd years later.
So this seems legit.
4x4 crib box is rated at 24,000 pounds. 6,000 pounds per contact point
A 6x6 used is rated at 60,000 pounds. 15,000 pounds per contact point.
I’ve never used pallets for cribbing but I’m sure they know what they’re doing and have safety factors rated in their weight distribution. That’s no FEMA task force cribbing but I’m sure it gets the job done just fine. Lift an inch, crib an inch!
