I'm seriously impressed, I find it amazing that he didn't quit during Tomacs run earlier in the season, the championship is normally over by now.

Love the fight, much respect to Chase.

I’m a self-admitted Tomac fan boy. But, Sexton has been killing it. The comment about him Tomac’ing Tomac, is truth. Very impressive. Great racing.

That was some beautiful mastery, they are so far ahead of 3rd most days it harks bad to the RC days.

The tide has turned imho, at least outdoors. Chase now knows he can beat the old dog and he has it in his muscle memory after Unadilla. I can't wait to see if he can bring this level of concentration and speed to Red Bud in September Smile

Yeah no doubt, but we also just had two harder surface, square edge tracks in a row, wouldn’t be surprised to see the table turn again.

I’ll add to this thread again.

I still stand by my first point. But Tomac did look like the old dog this race, but one who has gained wisdom. Chase looked like the young dog who hasn’t learned as much and had a few of them “oh shit” type moments that showed his age and he was right on the edge of crashing. Tomac never had any of those moments, just silky smooth and still 20 seconds out on the rest the field. Tomac wisely let him go. I’d say if chase keeps it off the ground the rest the way and continues riding the pace he is he could definitely win the title.

To me his pace he is pushing reminds me of Roczen back when he won it. I was telling my buddies back then I was amazed at Roczen’s pace just like they were but it was a matter of time before he had a big one and it would cost him, sadly I was right….hope I’m wrong here with Chase. I’m rooting for him big time.

Some of you have no idea idea what average means. Average means you add up all his results and divide it by the number of motos he raced. So he can have a 4th and still average a 2nd place finish.

Ya it was mentioned during the broadcast as well as shown during the broadcast. But it’s dirtbike racing that’s inherently going to happen at times haha.

Do not know if it was disscused before....but wtf is roczen doing blocking sexton? He will get passed by a number of guys till the end of race anyway but there he is racing chase like it is last lap of the race costing him vital seconds

In the upper echelon...everybody can beat anybody, and everybody can get beaten by anybody. I believe it's a matter of mindset, comfort with bike & track, and just plain "planets lining up". Sexton did everything right, and so did Tomac...but even Sexton said he had a couple of really close calls during the race where he almost bailed. It could have easily been Tomac 1-1.
