Touché

I made it to page 4 or 5 and hadn’t heard him gargle Yamahas balls yet. I was starting to worry.

Honestly, I kind of feel sorry for Haiden. This will follow him for a while, and not because of what he is doing right. He's still a kid, we all did some dumb things when we were young. It's the damn adults around him that are really messing it up for him. If I were him, I'd try to separate myself from Brian on the transition to the pros.

From the outside it seems like deegan is a control freak. You could definitely envision a scenario where Haiden needs to separate himself.

If you go back and watch the southwick press race show with weege you can see where there might be a fracture. Seems like Haiden wants to go full time pro in 23 and race SX, but sounds like Brian is against it.

It would be like if I brought my 3rd grade teacher to my colonoscopy appointment.
You're too young to be getting a colonoscopy, unless hippies just like things up their arse.

Better safe than sorry.

I’m inviting J Sloan to the next one.

Well if Brennan’s statements are untrue, it could be a pretty straight forward defamation case that Yamaha could easily pursue, especially with the handful of first hand witnesses, which is why I tend to believe he wouldn’t lie about something as extreme as what seems to be extortion claims.

Yamaha had better get their legal time involved ASAP and do some digging because there's likely some shit that they don't want to come out during the "discovery process". I've had to live through the discovery process in business and nothing will get past it. They will look at cell phone records, text messages, phone call records, emails, interview dealership managers and employees, telephone records, etc. All of it comes out in court and it will be blatantly obvious who's lying and who's telling the truth. The truth always comes out in situations like this if it goes down the legal path.

If what Brennan said is accurate (which should easy to verify), heads need to roll on the Yamaha side. Its disgusting, frankly. Fuck Yamaha. As for the Deegan's, I'll never support any manufacturer he rides for.

I disagree to an extent and here is why. Is it easier to black ball a kid or hurt Yamaha, mx sports, dealerships, sponsors?

Sure maybe the kid can win a lawsuit and some money, but even if he does he will still be black balled by the industry. Also, dont think Yamaha cant get the dealership to lie, cotter, deegan, etc.

Regardless if the story is 100% true or not tthe kid is the big loser. I would consider helping sponsor him though. Hopefully all sponsors wont drop him and new sponsors wont be afraid to take him on.
Sounds like he’s already getting the cold shoulder even though he “took away” the claim.

Fuck the Deegans, Yamaha and Star. I agree w/ bones: let some heads roll.

The Deegans aren’t innocent in this, not one fucking bit. You have Brian using a promoter to drag a fucking kid into a private room with no ama official or parent present over a process they have ZERO say over. Then have the kids competition stalking him in the pits and fueling the fire.

You have Star who tries to pull some motor swap shit. Upon finding out ama will seal the motor and the kid gets both, they sick corporate Yamaha on the kid through his trainer and sponsor.

Deegans AND Star need to be banned from racing for a year. Straight up.

Yamaha should see a heavy fine. What’s his face with Yamaha should be blackballed and banned from ALL AMA racing for life. Maybe even the clown at Star who made the call and dickhead from MX Sports who in the room with them.

I want one single person here to explain why the above shouldn’t be the LEAST that comes from this… other than DC needs to step the fuck up yesterday and do his fucking job. So far this summer is a shining example of why someone needs to replace his ass.

My take away so far

1. Tyler Livesay should be commended for bringing this to light. Refreshing to have truthful journalism in our sport.
2. Cooksey was right. Again.
3. The Yamaha Rep that threatened to pull franchise broke laws.
4. The AMA needs to enforce some type of penalty on Brian Degan, Matt Walker and Tim Cotter.
5. The AMA tried to follow the rule book. MXsports aided in preventing that from happening.
6. Instead of admitting wrongful conduct DC try's to spin it. That speaks volumes.
7. Matthes & Weege do nothing to address the seriousness of the situation. In fact they help sweep it under the rug by ignoring it.
8. Star Racing owned the bike so they deserve to be drug through the mud if they allow this type of conduct from their riders personnel.
9. Waiting on press release from Monster as to their stance on Deegan's actions.

10. In the end it will be swept under the rug. Nobody will be held accountable. The only upside is now we know the true character of Tim Cotter, Brian Deegan, Matt Walker and the moto media that is not bringing this atrocity to the public.

When CNN does "CNN NEWS HOUR. BROUGHT TO YOU BY PFIZER", does anyone expect them to run objective stories about Pfizer products? No, they are gonna ridicule and admonish some other reporter that is trying to get the scoop.

But if anyone thinks Ama, mxsports, star team and Degans won't he fine and if anyone thinks Brennan won't get fucked over, obviously they aren't paying attention.

This whole thing just reenforces what I already thought about all parties involved, minus the kid that claimed the bike, whom I've never heard of.

Hypothetically, if Brennan loses sponsors over this, should the vitard nation collect some money to help him?

And if he does lose sponsors, how does look for the sponsor?

It sounds like the AMA was actually good to deal with about it shockingly, But why was other parties allowed to take him into a separate room and grill him over it. That's the shitty part about this.

Good info to have if he lost all of his sponsors. But what needs to be known is which sponsors dropped him. It would be a shame if people started boycotting sponsor A only to find out they are one of the sponsors who stuck with the kid.

Unsubscribing from all the Deegans stuff would be a solid start for those who follow the family.

Let’s face it, this kid was always going to end up like us anyway. Blackballing a guy who will be in college and a weekend warrior in 5 years doesn’t mean shit. It sucks he is going through it, but he is openly exposing the inner working of everything, without out any real ramifications. What is the literal worst thing they could do to him? See to it that he doesn’t get sponsorship moving forward? So what, go to college and move on with your life like you would have done anyway.

This is iconic for him to blow it up, I’m guessing because they used the leverage they had and he realized it wasn’t much in the big picture anyway to his life. Also sounds like the dealer dropped him yesterday anyway…so he has absolutely nothing riding on this except 20% on Hookit.

When people question his ability to come up with the money, he already had 11K, so in 3 months he had to save $500./week to get the other 6K.

Living at home, it doesn't sound like a huge stretch.

To bad Brennan rides Yamahas…and fuck all the adults intimidating him. Wish he was some rich kid with nothing to lose over it!

This is such a black eye for the sport. My blood is boiling with the Matt Walker and Yamaha rep sort. I can somewhat, not totally, understand Brian Deegan being upset and wondering why the claim was filed. However, as everyone has stated, in no circumstance is it excusable for adults to be in a room with a minor. And MX Sports, man DC has been stepping in it full time this year. True shame this is even a topic of discussion.

Matt Walker always acted like an entitled little brat back in the day. No surprise his role in this. With the education of a 6th grader it’s no surprise he didn’t see himself being used as a pawn. Too busy gargling Brian Deegan’s balls I’m sure. Brain says jump. Walker says how high.

What a bunch of clowns.

Maybe he was curious, maybe he was trying to be a good person and look out for his 17 year old customer. I wasn’t there, so it’s just a guess at this point.
And this was after Matt Walker having words with the kid, maybe he thought another person on the side of a kid against adults would help??

Will wait to see if anybody disagrees with the interview before condemning people, but if nobody disagrees does that make it true????

It just got more expensive because now you hv to pay fat Pauly and big Tony from s. Phily. To get your bike when you claim it. If I where HG I would b pissed at Yamaha. Really you think I need a full factory motor to win. I,m sure he knew what kind of engine he was racing. Compared to his other mod motors. Extortion of a minor and a buisness in another country. Those are 2 very serious crimes . Yamaha might wonder why there bikes are held at the port for 8 months. There a small fish in a big pond . And how stupid is Yamaha to say how would you maintain the bike since the parts r not available. They come out and say it’s factory engine, how dumb r they. The ama claiming rule turns into a contract when 17k is involved. A written contract you hv 10 yrs to sue . The kid would b rich enough to but a few dealerships.
