I’m now using YouTube tv and Mavtv is a $10 a month add on.

So, if Mavtv stays there I’ll do the add on. Yes I’ll get the commercials but YouTube tv has unlimited dvr recording so I can watch it any time and any where.

Plus it will be far cheaper then Flo.

The email says they will and you will get a refund for unused time. I have little faith they will get this right either.

This shits real simple. Either pay and watch it, or don’t. It’s not rocket science.

If replays are up quick, I can start a live event late from the beginning, and it's in HD I'll pay that. I don't have much faith that will be reality though.

No interest in Flo Racing from me as I just do not follow any of the other series that they have to justify the cost to watch the MX Nationals. As others have stated I guess it will be Youtube highlights for me.

I hate like hell to say it but I am out. I'll take my chances on seeing a replay on youtube for the rest of the series. We are coming full circle. pretty soon I'll be waiting to read about it in Cycle News again. I'm sure that Davey has probably done his best to prop this series up TV wise but I have a feeling this is only going to get worse especially with World SX on the horizon. This sport is small in the grand scheme of things and all I have to do is go back and look at what happened when CART spit up or when NASCAR diluted their series with a bunch of cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks along with alienating their core fans and I can see the handwriting on the wall.

F that, just checked, says it's billed yearly. Said $12.50 a month, which I can do as it's just a couple months, but then said billed yearly for $150, no month to month option.

Payment
Step 3 of 3

YEARLY
$12.50/mo
$150.00 Paid Yearly

It's really sad how silent all the media has been on this. In a few years there will be some great podcast about what really happened with this shit show of a TV package.

Good news is that there almost always seems to be a renegade YouTube uploader who posts the races. Just have to hope to catch those for free before they get taken down. I have so many friends who are casual fans who usually watch almost every race who haven't watched one mx this summer because of how much effort is needed to view them. They watched almost every sx because it was on cable and they could DVR them. Not sure how a cheaper and shittier TV package that is losing viewership is a good thing for a professional sort?

I know DC is busy, but hopefully he chimes in when he has the time.

Come 2023, I don't see many people paying $30 USD a month to watch the nationals.

A lot of people don't care about the other stuff they offer. Plenty of people just into moto. Hopefully they offer a different plan just for the nationals.
This is exactly the boat I'm in. I only have MavTV+ to watch the nationals, I don't give a shit about any of the other content they provide but for $7 a month it's worth it to me.

If they keep this platform for 2023 and I have to pay $30 a month just for nationals then screw it, I'll wait a couple days and watch it free somewhere else like youtube.

I know I'm in the minority but I've had very little problems with using the MavTV+ app on my Roku so for them to suddenly do this switch midseason is a kick to the nutts. I'll install the Flo app and use the discount code for the remainder of the series but after that I really hope they find a better solution for a more affordable stream.

I REALLY wish they would of just kept SX & MX on Peacock. Tons of TV shows, movies, WWE wrestling, it was totally worth the price.

There are always bootlegged video on YouTube on Sunday from Saturday’s race. Watch it quick before it’s taken down. Or if no one snitches, it’s up for a long time.

Well my opinion has changed since it seems they will be honouring the $6.99 month to month subscription that Mav advertised. If they do that and I can cancel my subscription after the nationals I have no issues.

I got the $6.99 month plan, cancelling it after the last national. Nothing but dirt track on there. Not my bag. This is embarrassing though, hard to believe it has come to this to watch MX.

I go to search Flo Racing on Google Play Store on AndroidTV and get no results for it but NOW that they are switching over to Flo Racing I’m showing an app for MAVTV Plus that I asked about before the season started that they didn’t have 😂 Peacock was available on EVERY platform zero issues with it 👎🏻 I’m out, what a mess.

You have to do it from a computer/phone I think. Not the app for sure.

Go to https://tv.youtube.com/
Sign in
Click your name or whatever you use. Mine shows a L

Click Settings It will then say Membership

Scroll down to Sports Plus. Then click $10.99 a month.

I’m going to finish out this season with the Flo app but I can’t see paying $30 plus next season.

They're only honoring that price thru Sept 22. Starting in 2023, the Flo service is $30.00 a month.

“It’s been quite the journey thus far, but like with anything new you have to expect some growing pains,” said Davey Coombs, President, MX Sports Pro Racing. “Our audience has certainly shown a tremendous amount of patience as we’ve worked alongside MAVTV to address the issues and concerns involving live streaming. We cannot thank them enough for their commitment and their willingness to be honest with us. With the new partnership and establishment of ‘MAVTV on FloRacing,’ MAVTV has helped provide the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship with a new home for mobile viewing with a proven track record to showcase the rest of what has been a truly memorable 50th anniversary season. We sincerely hope our fans continue to lend their support, which is invaluable to the success of the championship, and understand this is the most effective solution for the series moving forward to ensure we’re servicing our viewers both here in the U.S. and around the world.”

I just cancelled my MAV subscription and pulled my payment info. I just don't care at this point. I'm not giving Flo or MAV another dime. It's not about the $ just the point of how ridiculous this whole thing is. I knew MAV was going to suck but still wanted to give it a chance and was going to subscribe all summer. But after how all this has gone, then adding this switch in, I'm out.

With that statement, I feel he'd make a great White House Press Secretary spin doctor (for either party) Silly

Newsflash DC....the audience patience had limits....and those limits have been far exceeded.

I love this comment on the MavTV page linked earlier.

"We are here to help!" lol

As long as I can still watch the full Motos the next day on YouTube, why would anyone pay for either service.

Yeah, this is a complete mess. I understand new platforms, but in a middle of a season, not good. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. I love the outdoors way more than supercross, but in this day an age, streaming has to be a top priority.

At this point, if they wanted to make it right, they would admit that MAV was a bust and stream each race on the American Motocross Youtube channel, since it's the middle of the season. So far there have been issues each round when they had paying customers complaining since day 1. The fact that they are doing this switch isn't at all about making it right. It's about still trying to pocket money...

The yearly subscription is 12 months, so you would get 8 races next year before being charged again for another year.

Now we just need AMA SX to join the platform so it makes it worth it for the international viewers, but I don't see Feld doing that.
That would be great if we knew the races would be on FloRacing next year. I'm not taking anything for granted. I feel bad for the people that paid the $100 for the yearly MavTV subscription. I know they said they will prorated refunds, but with how everything else has gone so far I'm not holding my breath for 'fairness'

From their site:

"What about archived races and other MAVTV Plus programming? Will those be on FloRacing?
At this time, only new, live MAVTV Plus programming will be available on FloRacing. FloSports will communicate if and when MAVTV Plus archived races and other VOD content will be available."

I guess that means no replays of the races thus far.
