Haven’t really read anything regarding Coop. Could it be drama within the team, or possibly a run at this world supercross thing?

Because he's just not a very competitive person. He lacks fight and desire. After all the years of having to compete, he feels it's time to embrace his inner self and adopt a lifestyle of cooperation and peaceful coexistence.

Obviously.

For him as the reigning champ this SX season was almost an embarrassment, so chances are high that not everything is well inside the team. Maybe he’s leaving at the end of the season and he’s isn’t a contender for top three anyways, so why risk it riding outdoors.
He‘s better off finding a bike he likes and preparing for next year.

I get when riders get injured mid-season and decided to wait till the next to start to get fully prepared. But its total bullshit to just skip an entire season of outdoors because you don't think you'll be competitive. Cairoli, Dunge, Marv, Mookie seem to think the bike is worth riding outdoors, so "the bike" is not a valid excuse to me.

Maybe there's a good reason (ex injury we don't know about) but how can you skip an entire outdoor series? I always respected Coop because he's a fighter, I hope he still have that fire.

2X SX champ......you gotta love how people judge him and revel in his struggles. Webb Derangement Syndrome is real.

Whatever is going on with him....we have not seen the last of him.

Why risk riding the outdoors and potentially getting hurt when his head clearly isn’t in the right space? It’s ok for Kenny to pull out of series, so why not coop?

I’m fine with Kroc sitting out if he needs to. But people have to realize it’s not worth it for these guys to be riding if they’re riding to not get hurt. Bc it’s going to end up happening. Clearly something is off with Webb, take the summer regroup, change teams or whatever. Be ready for A1.

Would like to see how the contract reads regarding his compensation in this situation. If he made the decision or KTM put him in time out.

Why is it okay to break a contract because you don't feel well? Everyone gets an easy button to quit when they don't feel good now? Figure out the right work/life balance to be able to meet your commitments.

Listen to Matthes post race interviews. He ask Decoster directly about Webb and said " we know he's not doing outdoors..." Roger said he's stubborn and lost his way and that it takes time to get back on track.

He has a babby on its way, right? Maybe a combination of many variables, changing programs mid-season, injury, personal matters whatever it is, hope he puts it behind him.

What about starting a series, not doing as good as you expected and so stepping out..? (KRoc)

I believe he wanted to quickly adopt a more mature, conservative “manage a championship” mentality as soon as he entered the premier class. He won two SX titles, but I want to see him get back to his 250’s aggression again, like Anderson this year.

This is what winning 2 premier SX titles in 3 years gets you. The guy has won every title but 450 outdoors. So maybe he thinks he needs a break and a refresh to get his ship sailing straight again. If anyone has earned that right, it’s a 2x 450 champ.

You have to cut a champ like him a little slack sometimes. I know that’s hard for the armchair racers here, but it’s the truth.

Webb seems to be revisiting the Yamaha YZ450 Webb right now. Injury and lack of confidence will do that to you.

If he is not injured he really should ride the Nationals. All this skipping series some do now because thier mind isn't right is bad.

2 SX titles completes any dream scenario for a professional career. Not a bad decision to focus on SX only for the balance of his career. He is never going to be a top5 guy outdoors.
The guy is smart.

It's annoying how as soon as something seemingly doesn't go a rider's way, everyone thinks they should just do SX-only. Fans should want them to be racing both series not suggesting SX-only at every bump in the road.

He must b really uncomfortable on the new bike. Maybe Ktm won’t do the setup changes that he wants. Who knows but he had a off season. I watched the racer x Millville 21 race lastnight. There pushing the bikes beyond what there capable of. If the new bikes limit is lower than the old bike. Then your slower than last year and that would not b fun having to back it down and b way back from the leaders.
