If I'm not mistaken then Pepsico was the distribution partner and they where working close together but in march 2020 Pepsico became the owner of Rockstar Energy. That is bad news, because the European side of Pepsico doesn't want to be associated with "environmental unfriendly sports" such as motocross. And the American side of Pepsico they seem to go that way too, ending the MTN DEW relationship with Chase Elliott. This is probably something we're going to get used to. Companies wanting to green wash themselves and stop sponsoring motorsports. But when they can earn money at those same dirty fans and sports they are there to make the deals! Like the fact that Pepsi is the official beverage at the Indianapolis Speedway.

Oh the irony of a manufacturer of sugar/ caffeine drinks that have contributed to obesity and general unhealthy lifestyles being against "environmentally unfriendly" sports.
I would love for PepsiCo to share their “environmentally friendly” manufacturing processes and ingredients with the public and we can then be the judge on who is better for the planet/humans.

I am against all outfits that push this bullshit around all while sitting atop their factories or on a flight in their private jet. If you going to be a active vocal advocate you best show up on a donkey dressed in banana leaves.

Jack wagons that spew this crap are the most un informed people on the planet

Sucks money wise, but those MXGP Husqy’s look a thousand times better without it.
I have to politely disagree. It's more like a million times better.

Rockstar’s deal in Europe was based through a distributor, not corporate. Kind of didn’t make sense but I guess it worked and for their needs.

They already changed the formula on the OG rockstar and sugar free varieties. They were selling the OG flavors exclusively on Amazon after all the flak but now they slightly changed the formula and are still marking it as OG. Bunch of buffoons.

Go look at their facebook sometime, every single comment at the top is bashing them.

Who buy a company and then kills the product that put them on the map and made the worth buying to begin with? How retarded.

Now they want to pull out of motorsports? Amazingly stupid marketing.

I don't have a problem with caffeine, (real) sugar, or vitamins.
If a company is 'woke', they can go to...the lcq and finish 5th or worse!

If we continue to consume energy drinks, we are fucked. Riders know that the only version to drink is the water-inside-an-energy-drink-can flavor.

I'd personally rather see health and athletic brands attach themselves to the sport. The 80's guys all were full blown triathletes to be able to compete in SX/MX at the top level (Glover/Ward/O'Mara/Bailey), The current guys are as fit as any top professional athlete in any sport globally.

Lol. We are fucked because we have the worst obesity in the world, it has little to do with caffeine and a few vitamins in a can.

The corn syrup is a problem yes, but we've been consuming that by the bucket load for decades before redbull and rockstar. Let's not get started on the half pound cheese burger and side of onion rings 😁

No Monster on Kawasaki MXGP either.. strange seeing factory Kawasaki without the Monster claw.

Is this a sign of big energy drink sponsors leaving MXGP? Is Monster just focusing on Yamaha or do you think they’ll leave the Yamaha MXGP teams too?

Bought a Monster drink to get into the pits one year. Took two swigs....poured it out.

Absolutely disgusting.

Wonder if this is last season in AMA?

Sad to see a sponsor go, always loved the Rockstar suzuki and husky teams.

Paging Rupert X to the photo booth
probably a result of Pepsi buying them a few years ago.

I recall hearing something about rockstar leaving awhile ago, vaguely, but like many other sponsors; new bosses, new ideas of where to spend marketing dollars

This is news to me. I am a person that 100% buys energy drinks because of what they do for our sport. Switched to Rockstar this year when they gave Mookie a shot. I guess Ill move back to Monster, as I get older though my body is less and less capable of dealing with health implications of drinking on of these.

How about 'Astrazeneca Husqvarna Factory Racing', or 'Pfizer Kawasaki Racing'? Both of these would have cash flowing like rivers right now! No end in sight! I await 'Apple Triumph' and 'Trump Maico'

Makes total sense........

" Hey.....we love the planet so much , we'll stop sponsoring anything that runs fuel !...........Oh , and btw , here is some pure sugar poison for you to chug down , while you hug that tree over there. "

You realize alcohol is a poison as well? And beer is also also full of carbs.

The additives in energy drinks is the same stuff people are buying as health supplements.

It's all marketing... just like organic potato chips are still potato chips, fats, carbs and salt.

I think maybe people are getting smarter about what they actually pour into their bodies...

Monster....heart attack in a can
Rockstar...pure poison.
RedBull....maybea little less than pure poison
Bang........sounds the least like poison (if you believe the on-can hype)
