If mathes really wanted to be a dick, he could phone up motorsport who are big sponsors of his show and also stanks main sponsor, and tell them its him or me. Without thinking they would pull any ties they have with stank. Steve will win this battle stank. Screw you.
I don't agree with what Steinke said at all , as far as that goes. But Pulp doesn't decide the fate of certain riders.
You guys are right I guess, smoking weed makes you a bad ass.
Rather than saying ooops my bad he doubled down and tore into Steve more is my understanding of the Tweet.
If that is true gives insight into Stanks character which is too bad.
Hey if your not a “politically correct” media source rather express opinions, feathers will be ruffled. Everyone complains of riders/media being vanilla and saying the same thing but when they do say something (nothing in this instance) everyone gets all bent out of shape.
Steve is opinionated for sure at times and he admits it, and when he has been wrong in past he usually makes good. But that is what makes it entertaining for sure.
I see some similarities to Howard Stern show (Darkside for instance Bobo haha). Love it or hate it they get attention and people talk about it. To intentionally say stuff that could harm someone’s career or lively hood is not cool but nothing wrong with expressing an opinion. Everyone has one right?
Pit Row
I met Steinke at a track here in Colorado and he was nice to me.
I'm also reminded of Michael Jordan's HOF acceptance speech. "Fuck the Haters" has proven a viable motivator for quite a while now, and maybe Steinke heard "it's going to be hard for him to qualify" as "Stankdog can't put it in the main" and when he did he let everyone know how he felt.
Now everyone is just all "WTF, ok?!?" and then Vital does what it does and here we are.
But my point being is everyone looks at social media as the only communication. When in reality everyone knows everyone and everyone speaks to someone, and just because you didn’t hear it in the podcast or see the post it was never said.
