Actually an employer can make it mandatory for their employees, OSHA cannot mandate it through their rules and regulations per the Supreme Court ruling.

You see all the soccer players and other sports athletes who have had heart attacks, dropped dead or fainted after being vaxed/boosted. I worry about our riders running 20+ minutes with heart rates of 180....

Fair enough. I agree with that. I’d be curious how many factory Oems would risk firing a rider over it if they did have that mandate.

As long as there are bikes ripping around rhe track, and the monster girls and bar tenders show up to the night show, I'll be happy.

Genuinely curious. Name one North American athlete that has had a heart attack, dropped dead or fainted from the vax? I can’t think of one.

I believe the Supreme Court just ruled that the govt can't mandate that employers mandate the vaccine. Employers can impose a mandate, or testing requirements, as they see fit.

The people that are worried about a .00001 chance of a vaccine side effect also think they're going to win the lottery with the same odds.

KR is NOT vaccinated. He discussed it on the Pulp show Monday night. The rant stemmed from the fact that if a rider were to falsify a vaccine card to avoid being tested, then they could race even if they had it and spread it around. He isn't pushing for the vax to be forced, just to make sure those who aren't vaxxed are getting tested.
But the vaxed that don’t have to get tested and are positive (and this is happening a lot) can and do spread it

As said already…

Test everyone, or quit testing ! It’s 100% unfair to test an unvaccinated rider and not a vaccinated rider.
As we know now, the vaccine will not keep you from getting COVID.
If a vaccinated rider catches it, there’s a good chance he may not even know and will then put others around him at risk.
It is also unfair, if said rider is able to race, either with or without symptoms. There’s a lot of money at stake per race and obviously for a championship.

Maybe they do a throw out round for lowest points/ missed race, to make it fair ! That’s about the only way to do it at this point, with the testing protocols.

You bring up valid points. It's just another way to force/coerce people into getting the jab. I'm not anti-vax...I am all about educated choice based on your personal health situation.

I’m on the same page ! Plenty of people have the ability to get the vaccination and possibly protect themselves from getting really sick or even dying. But we all have a choice and that’s just the way it should be.

It should be pointed out that if you are vaccinated your viral load will be less and you will transmit at a lesser rate than a unvaccinated person. There isn't a great amount of data of how much less it will be and of course it varies from person to person but it is notable.

I certainly see Kenny's point that his immune system may not well tolerate vaccination and that is a valid concern. I also agree with the previous that basically everyone should be tested at this point. Being vaccinated isn't stopping contraction of the virus.

Unless you have a valid personal health reason that prevents being vaccinated, vaccination is a public health benefit. Even if you still get sick you will not clog up the ICU's for people who need them for heart attacks , accidents, and other major health issues that would land you in the ICU.

It really shouldn't be a matter of being forced or coerced but doing your part to maintain a viable healthcare system. Delaying nonemergent or extremely critical care because the ICU is full is happening nearly everywhere in the US now. That is a terrible terrible thing. When you need health care , you need it!

With that said I am fully on board to just test everyone in SX and call it good.

Dude… please stop. Nobody needs your lectures at this point. We all know someone with all the knowledge and most are sick and tired of hearing it. So sick and tired of people like you telling others what we should do. Give it a rest

I wondered about this while watching the Craig family vlog seeing their kids in the motorhome sitting beside Ferrandis...thinking how easily one of them could get it and ferrandis catching it... no hate against them or anything just pointing it out. If I were anywhere in the title fight I would not be visiting anyone or fans.

Feld needs to introduce, Right Now, a "drop ( at least 2) rounds" rule or whatever it might be called.

And yes, that would be a problem for the 2 short 250 series.....

That they haven't had the forsight to do this, in a time of pandemic, makes me really wonder about their thought processes.

It's going to lose them More money ( in a period of a couple of years that they've lost a Lot ) when one, or two, or More of the Headline Riders catch this incredibly contagious variant.

And opening up the pits, is really a silly thing to do, at this time, as well.

I’m pretty sure Ferrandis already had COVID, so if that’s the case, he’s got little to worry about as far as catching it again. Hopefully he’s got his vax card and he’s got nothing to worry about.
But I also understand where you’re coming from, regardless of who they come in contact with. It’s going to be really interesting in the next 3-4 weeks.

We are tested 3 days a week on my industry, regardless of vaccination. If you test positive, you get 10 days off, Paid.
Once you test positive, you do not have to test again for 90 days.
I believe these guys are on the same testing program for those who have had it in the last 90 days.

For example-
Brayton will not have to test again until approximately April 14th.

I’d like to chime in with my opinion, but I did that last week and I got banned. Guess it’s just me. Anyhoo, been posting here since day one in ‘08, on my third account. What up OGs?!

Really curious what coastie has to say about a 64 year old that has covid and only missing one day of work? I work with the person who lives in my home and do not come in contact with anyone at anytime during my work. To make things clear, no vaccine and do not intend to. Healthy diet, plenty of exercise and self responsible. There are many that are similar to me but we don't run around making a big deal of it. There are many ways to be responsible for others and a vaccine isn't the only direction. Pofessional football players oand basketball players, who are all vaxed, are missing quite a few payers and games.

Bob,
It’s a bummer that there is not enough information out there about the actual facts. Nobody knows who/ what to believe anymore. We all have our own opinions on all this mess (I’m sure we are on the same page), but some of the people who think that they are “RIGHT” and everyone else is wrong, are really starting to get under my skin.

People in general need to stay in their lane !

Look at the charts. People are getting it everywhere. He wont be the only one. And if he had the shot he can still get it. Just maybe less symptoms or none at all.
Exactly.

No vaccine makes you simply immune to "infection". Vaccines, when they work as intended, just train your own immune system so that as soon as a viral particle is detected, your own immune system kicks the virus' ass. Why you get really sick if not vaccinated, is your immune system is "untrained". Initially it does not know what to do to battle viral particles. Being un-vaccinated (and not having been previously infected) is liking training your army to fight a new type of war....at the same time you are being invaded. It may be too late.

So if non vaccinated, or if not previously infected, when the virus invades your body, it just runs wild, unchecked for many days as your body figures out how to attack it. By the time your immune system knows what to do, the viral load can be beyond comprehension. Covid victims have been measured with viral loads as high as 6 TRILLION viral particles per mL in nasal samples. Yikes. By the time your immune system knows what to do, your body could be overwhelmed. It might not win the battle.

So people who are vaccinated (or who developed immunity through prior infection) have likely been infected...probably more than once. Their "trained" immune system just killed off the virus so fast that it never even got to the point they had symptoms, or an "infection" could be detected.

This is also why vaccines do not work if you are immune system compromised. If your immune system is non-existent, there is nothing to train. So the vaccine does nothing.

Big bummer for JB...he looks like he is riding solid.

No not at all, it makes no sense completely I’m with you as far as the rules go. Also I literally didn’t any of what you interpreted I was saying 😂

But to not deal with the bullshit as a racer and risk 100s of thousands of dollars I’m just surprised 🤷🏻‍♂️

The rant stemmed from the fact that if a rider were to falsify a vaccine card to avoid being tested, then they could race even if they had it and spread it around. Oh ok I didn’t know that. I don’t listen to pulp and I misunderstood Courtney’s rant.
