dude, your just as bad as the media. Post stuff without even looking into why. California is open for business. The football game was cancelled because too many players tested positive, not because the state said so. Do some homework next time before throwing out false info.
Easy there tough guy! I never said it was state mandated. I only stayed the facts as to what’s happening and I’m quite aware as to why the Holiday bowl was cancelled. There’s also been many local football, basketball, etc games cancelled because of Covid cases. My only concern is with that trend is that our goofy Governor Gruesome may pull his usual power trip and put a stop to events. I certainly hope not. Nowhere in my post did I imply this was a certainty but given the current “state” of things I think it’s a valid concern so STFU.

Many teams based there and the fan base . They will have events where people will buy tickets . If they cancel events that sucks but so be it . When the stadiums are available you can bet they will be used . Basing business decisions on political ideology is a bad idea .

You have the facts distorted a little.

The Holiday Bowl was cancelled due to UCLA pulling out due to a "breakout" within the team.

It was NOT due to a county/state/government shut down "due to increasing COVID numbers"

It was an isolated issue due to one of the teams forfeiting the game, and no replacement teams available on 4 hours notice.

Please don't contribute to the BS we watch/read/see on the news daily.

sorry but those numbers are a huge lie and our little New Zealand can prove it, last i checked (and this info cannot be found unless throught the freedom of information act request) the 1st 28 of our claimed 50ish covid deaths all died of heart attacks and cancer. We even had someone shot dead by police, was tested for covid AFTER he died and was included as a Covid death stat. Complete Madness

Anyway A1 my $ is on Ferrandis, still has outdoor confidence, healthy off season , as a fan of DV i hope Marv and Dylan come out swinging

Bruton and Feld probably wouldn't play well together so that would leave Raleigh and maybe Winston Salem?? Ive heard downtown Charlotte doesnt have enough parking for the teams so no Panther stadium. Kinda hurts not having a dome too I would think. Would be nice to get a round though.

I'm no doctor, but i say this as someone who has a career in the pharmaceutical industry, and someone who has worked for one of the "poke" manufacturers, literally in the facility where said pokes are manufactured.

It is complete insanity that we still put so much emphasis on case numbers, especially when a vast vast vast vast majority of these cases never end up in a hospital, and a vast majority of those hospitalizations survive. If minimizing case numbers was the true goal, the only real strategy to do that is mass isolation for a period of time where literally everyone in the world stops interacting with each other face to face for a period of time (30 days or so). Doing that is also complete insanity and would cause massive amounts of unrest all over the world due to poverty, starvation, etc. Its irrational.

It is also insanity to think that a (poke which is supposed to immunize you) will prevent infection and leaking of said respiratory virus. Another fear monger tactic by the mainstream media. NYC, the very place you live, has one of the highest jab rates in the world, and also the highest case rate in the nation. Just days ago it was reported that NYC comprised 25% of the national total case count alone. People who still believe this nonsense are a lost cause.

Imagine if we put this much emphasis on number of cardiac patients or obesity cases, and forced everyone to eat healthy and exercise daily. Sure, heart attacks are not contagious, but it still applies. Unfortunately there's not much money to be made forcing people to take care of themselves, so it will never happen. Way more money is made keeping people sick, or thinking they are sick, and providing them with a solution to those ailments, or forcing them to take a treatment, than educating people to maintain healthy lives.

People have had their chance to get poked. At this point, we need to accept that this is endemic and move on with our freaking lives. My rational brain can't take much more of this lunacy.

I'm tired of this crap too. I've followed every rule, taken every jab and booster.
The dialog went from keeping hospitals from being overwhelmed - which I understand - to worrying about cases when the effect looks like a cold. Stop already and let's move on and manage hospitals and health care worker well-being again. It's like the biggest thing we have to worry about is COVID - but its not that big but it is what we sensationalize because it's all we got to report on.

I just avoid going places that require a mask. If they want me to mask up at a supercross, I'll just watch it on TV.

Even if your numbers are accurate, and I doubt they are, Viruses mutate over time and typically become less deadly because they want to have as many host as possible. If they kill the host they do not have anywhere to go. This mutation is significantly less potent than the ones before it. You are not comparing apples to apples when you compare early covid and delta with this mutation.

What is the testing protocol for sx.
What if a rider tests positive?
Do u have to isolate?
What about close contacts? Do they have to isolate?

I think if there is no testing protocol every1 will avoid testing even when sick

Why have one at all?
The team guys are with the same guys all the time.

It's not like football or basketball where they are grabbing and breathing on each other.

Eh, not really a fan of narcissism. It was X for me, therefore it must be X for you, and if not, something is fishy. People have been using that same thought process with all sorts of things, but other than Covid, I see it most commonly used for work/wealth/education related topics; I achieved X, so you're a lazy pos if you can't achieve the same. It's just good old fashioned narcissism that fuels in inability to understand any experience outside of our own.

Yes . The vital brain trust is where I go for all my medical info and advice . It's where I find out how I should think politically also .

Anaheim Stadium website says nothing about needing vax or testing, just face coverings
