Really wanting to book a flight for me and the lady to go watch Anaheim 1 but at the last minute I'm a little worried about covid restrictions and California. Can I get some educated opinions on what its like in California and what to expect at the Stadium and restaurants etc?

We are in GA and never have to wear masks and never felt the covid restrictions.

Any insight/opinions welcome.

As of yesterday CA put the masks everywhere mandate back in place.. that being said no one asked me to put on a mask the last 2 days. Regardless of the mask/vaccine mandates when you’re hear I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time and the event.

It’s hard to say with California man, they could change 3-4 times before A1. You might be able to find current rules on the stadium website

There haven’t been any changes to statewide event restrictions since sporting events opened. They may make you mask up inside or in a line or something but they aren’t going to care once you are in your seats. Also, it’s Orange County. They literally give no fucks about Newsome and what he says.

I was down there at Disney for thanksgiving and hardly anyone wore masks unless they were inside. I already bought my tickets and I’ll be there!

Anaheim 1 is an awesome experience, but not sure I would take the chance of flying across the country with potential for restrictions escalating at any time. Go to Phoenix. Incredible stadium and usually great racing with a huge tracks.

I’m literally sitting in Narita airport outside Tokyo waiting on a flight to LAX, and I was really hoping most places were ignoring governor dumbass’ new mandates, so this thread makes me feel a lot better.

I live in Orange County , no fucks given. No mask in the grocery store, motorcycle shops, movies etc.. I don’t think A-1 should be any concern especially since it’s a open stadium. It has rained twice though, you know like 1 mm of rain fall. Almost put moisture in the dirt. 😉

Out and about all over OC and LAC the last couple days as well (maskless) It looks like folks (business owners) have given up on mandates and the struggle of enforcement as It has flip flopped so many times county to county, event to event, venue to venue. OC definitely the least amount of effs given to mask mandates, thank goodness!!!

Be weary of what you read as far as restrictions. They post what they “have to” but in reality it’s all together different.

I’ll be there with a mask in my pocket in the event I have to temporarily put it on to avoid confrontation, that is all.

See you there!

To answer your questions.

1. Anaheim is Orange County so not subject to dumbass Los Angeles rules.
2. Mask Is the only thing that might be required for the stadium. (Wont be inforced)
3. Plane Flight will be a mask requirement im sure.
4. Restaurants will say, mask to walk in (The in-forced part)... sit down to eat mask off while actively eating ( This part Wont be in-forced).

There’s an app called “Hopper” and it notifies you when a flight of interest will be cheapest. I think it has hotels too. I have no direct experience with it, but my wife is uses it quite a bit.

I will be in Temecula the week before for work, staying through the weekend to attend A1. Anywhere in the area (Temecula) worth checking out before the races?

Better make sure you don't have to show proof of vaccination for hotels or restaurants. I was in New Orleans and had to show one every where I went to get in. Of course I'm not vaccinated and thankfully they didn't check the card to closely.

Pala and Lake Elsinore Tracks are nearby, you can go Sky Diving in Elsinore.
Temecula Motorsports, and find Technology Drive up by French Valley Airport..lots of factory race teams and support business up there.

The mandates are just kind of a saying in Orange County. Have one on you but once your inside, you’ll be like the other 45,000 either having it completely off or around your chin. No one in Orange County seems to really give a shit about the mask mandate and are doing their own thing lol.

From somebody in WA, this is refreshing to hear. Not sure what is happening up here, but everyone here (young and old) live in absolute mask and fear chaos. Everywhere you go.. In cars, alone, outside, mask, vaccines, masks, vaccines, there is literally nothing else for the residents of WA to talk or think about. I always thought you folks had it worse off than we did, this is good to hear, it gives hope for us drowning in it up here. Time to move on and live while we can.

I've got tickets that I'd sell you! Lower bowl covered from weather. I'm from out of country and I can't travel. I'd be happy to sell them for what I paid for them

If you have a lady with you plan a day doing the winery tours.
Old town Temecula.
Pechanga.
Golf, pick a course.
Mountain bike Greer ranch.
Calhouns BBQ - sweet potato pie.
8 bit brewing for good beer and good burgers. Like 20 pinball machines, 1 of which is Iron Maiden!
Should be able to stay busy. Enjoy CA sucks😁
