As easy as it is to change sag it is worth a try if you get arm pump.

I’m not a suspension expert but you can certainly have a stiff shock with a lower ride height aka more sag. This is more of a stance setting than difference in spring stiffness

I had a similar situation in high school. Guy couple years younger than me in baseball. Always went to the best training camps, new gear, etc. His parents weren’t Deegan rich but they have more than most. Put Eli or Chase on an RMZ and they would win. Any of the bikes made today are perfectly capable with the right tuning/setup/go faster daddy goodies. Those who think they are superior because of a brand name... self-delusion is a wonderful marketing tool.

If there was a real Suzuki factory team paying comparable dollars to the other top tier seats, we’d see the RMZ have some good finishes. Marshall Weltin got a top 10 outdoors on this bike. When JGR had decent support they had better riders and higher placing finishes. Chad put it on the box just 2 years ago and it was against this same KX and GG platform that is out now. If Dylan, Chase, Jett, etc got on a full factory RMZ, then still probably win races. And if they did that, all the fair weather nerds would be...

Reed isn't going to ride KTM anymore. That's why they're testing 3 brands and NO KTM's.. KTM has problems and Reed is smart. He knows he won't be able to get any support from KTM while they're going thru the trenches. My guess: Yamaha Close 2nd: Kawasaki Honda never had a chance.
