Funny I raced with him back in 1988 when he would come to Texas. I never was a fan of his then or when he turned pro later that year. I do remember his brother and sister at the races. Cool to see him do this at 50 and racing a 150 at that.
Seems like a different person now 30 years later.

That’s a cool video. I love he’s racing the 150 staying true to himself not getting carried away with having to have the best of the best to go race. Fro was a bit before my time watching but I got to meet him a few years back at a dealer signing here in Aus and he was an awesome guy. Super personable and engaged noticing my wife was pregnant, asked about names etc. just in that 5 minute interaction I was very impressed and an instant fan. Hope he does well and the ranch.

He wont finish . It’ll be a bike issue or something

He's doing two classes with cameras following him around all week. I think he'll most certainly finish! That's a long drive back to CA for a bike issue.

How popular would a 125 allstar legends race at the nationals be ? I have been a Fro fan from beginning 😁 looking forward to the rest of the series.

He’s been practicing regularly on that 150. Obviously there are more powerful bikes with more torque but I’m very curious to see how he will do at the ranch at 50 on a 150. It could be the perfect weapon for the track and class. Or will he ride a different bike that day?

MC turns 50 on 11-19. Surprised Emig only has a ankle that’s bad. The 50 plus class is a big deal, aprox 30 plus at aztalan in 50 plus. The last hurrah class, the big question who is the fastest 50 yr old. Emig should answer that one. They need to bring back the 55 plus class and make it 125,s only. It’s a shame that the 50+ class is it, for a national class.

150 will be fine LL’s is pretty flat. Big hills are where a 450 eats up smaller bikes.

It’s been a mild summer, but if it heats up and gets real muggy. Emig is a great hot weather racer. He,s from Mo. a hot and muggy state, yeah he,s been in Cali a long time now. Millville 91 he was the only rider visible, he sat at the back of the box van with his race pants on, enjoying the 94 and muggy still air. Big crowd of Norwegian girls starring at him all quite. Except for my girlfriend asking stupid questions is he fast, is his bike fast, does he make a lot of money, etc

True the big bikes have an advantage going UP hills. I think he will benefit most with the weight and power advantage of the 150 not wearing him out. Only problem is the dudes he’s racing are perfectly capable using a 450 for a long, hard race. I wonder what bikes the others will choose to race? This is the part that should make it interesting for all of us to witness.

A part of me wishes he was on equal equipment to Ryno and Brownie, but I love what he’s doing. If he wins on the 150, that will be all time. Good luck Jeffro. Forever a fan.

I don’t think on any bike he beats Ryno or Brownie at this age so he might as well have fun the entire time.

Are they not all close to the same age group ? Not much difference from 46-50.

even in the 50 class you need horsepower for the start. i hope he can top 5,and have fun, but unless youve seen guys less known like carsten, walker and grewe(injured), at the ranch.. mike brown and ryno 1,2

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought Reynard raced a YZ 125 at the ranch in a vet class a few years back, and did well.

Yeah there all about that age. April I took 6 weeks off, body was hammered from working 8 months straight, 6 days off then 4 months on. I had a surgery planned it fell threw. I did rehab work out 7 days a week. It turned into a experiment on how my body reacted. I was surprised that I could do speed sit-ups for 50 min straight. Do legs then back to sit-ups. I did no upper body lifting, it needed a rest. My weight got done to an everyday 165. I worked 7 weeks straight, weight is still 165. I turn 55 on 11-18, I see very little difference from 48. I may try LL next yr on a cr125. Qualify in 2 regions, to make sure I get in.

Rooting for Fro Daddy! He was my favorite of his era Smile
I can really relate to this. The only time I went was after I turned 50 and the process of qualifying along with the experience of being there was the highlight of my years as an amateur motocrosser. Obviously my journey was completely different from Jeff's but what makes this sport so special is that we ultimately all just love the feeling of riding the motorcycle Smile

After a recent bad crash ( concussion, scapula and 4 ribs) in my 50’s, my manager couldn’t believe I would ever want to ride again. It’s what we do. It puts living in our lives! Great words, Fro! Best of luck at the ranch.

What does that matter? He doesn't need to be a pro race winner to have an opinion. His opinion is moronic don't get me wrong. I see this all the time. You say (insert rider name) should have finished better and it's well where did you place?

When Emig raced 125,s the espn guys called him Mr 125 . Get the 1st moto out of the way with a win and set the tone. Hope he has the same attitude as in 94, I,m the fastest 125 rider in the world . So Get ready.

Does he mention in the video that he’s racing a 150? Not doubting it, just missed it in the vid.
