If you are one of those people who has always wanted to go to the Washougal national, I strongly suggest you do it this year. And if you haven’t been for a while and always want to go again, then I would say the same thing. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

I don’t like to hear the future of Washougal is in jeopardy, last year’s last minute cancellation really had to take a toll on the pocket book.

We made the drive from San Diego up last year to support the Huffman family, I don’t know if I have the time in the schedule to do it next week at the last minute. So hopefully everyone in the PNW makes the trip.

I flew over in 2015 from New Zealand for a RND at Washougal, what an epic venue and trip.

I had the privilege in 2016 and the place is everything I hoped it would be and more. The weather was beautiful that day. The racing was epic and that part of our country is indescribably beautiful.

I have gone sporadically over the years, went when my son was entered. Wasn't planning on going this year as the Peacock coverage is very good.

Then on Instagram "The Viewing Deck" popped and boom I had a ticket....funny how that happened.

So this week will be Thursday Night at PIR and Saturday at Washougal.

Bummed I can’t make it up. Was just in washougal a month ago, got to ride riverdale which was cool. Moving up there beginning of next year. Arguably the best national, scenery wise.

Hoping to cross it off the list next year. I have been to Thunder Valley, High Point, Red Bud, Southwick, and Ironman so far. Hopefully Washougal and Spring Creek next year, if business is good enough then I will try to cross Hangtown off the list too. If Red Bud has MXDN then I plan to go full VIP so that may cut into plans.

It sucks driving along the beautiful Washougal river road or driving in from the Columbia river Gorge. I'm really dreading riding up there on my new 500 rr-s next weekendCool .

Plus, you can pull over and do some tubing on the river.

If you make the trip make sure you visit the cliffs at the swimming hole. The one next to the road that pastrana’s dad famously threw a gainer off with no sight lap

The PNW at this time of year is easily in the top 5 most beautiful places I've ever been.

I live in the Portland area and we'll be going. My wife has been to a SX but not a national. Super excited!

Yes epic scenery (Except the P Lines Only reasonable pull of with minimal PL) Portland to Hood River for a Beer and Burger Sunday. 200 plus round trip over Lolo Pass.

I'll ride my 701 to Washougal Saturday.

I raced this track on amateur day before pro day on my 50, 60, and 125 back in the late 80's/90's. Still one of if not my most favorite track in the series! Really wish I could make it this year! The old pit parties here were unreal.

Go a couple days early and go to
PIR Thursday night, equally as good or better racing in the pro class.

I agree that TNM at PIR is awesome, but lets not get crazy here.
