Amazing ride with a broken shoulder blade 🤯 To pass those guys like he did was super impressive. Hope he heals up quick! He’s still young, and as Cairoli showed in moto 2, has plenty of time to win more races/championships.

Heings clearly didn’t jump as far as he would if he didn’t get squirly due to start device. No way rider behind knew he wouldn’t jump as far, especially knowing it’s herlings and his history of sending it even if out of shape. No blame needed for this inco

I reread Herlings' instagram post and I didn't see him blaming anyone, he stated it was his holeshot device that stuck and he got landed on. Did I miss a post where he blamed the other rider?

What a shitty deal. I was ao stoked about seeing a full season, fully healthy showdown between Gajser and Herlings. Just another one of those battles and scenerios that never seems to happen 😒

That’s what I was thinking. No matter who I was, I would never expect to land on herlings when he’s in front of me lol

Just a shame, championship was looking great. Now it kind of becomes a lot less interesting. Dont see anyone having the consistency to keep up with Gajser.

What is it, 6th year in 8 that Herlings is out injured?

i think he watched the replays and adjusted his opinion based on footage
in heat of the race and moment you sometimes say things you regret later

After re-watching the footage I see that Febvre doesn't jump that far either... Luckily for Kawasaki their Gentleman driver didn't took their championship contender out because that was also a possibility. Really sad that this happens!

Febvre's start was a snapshot of his day. Holeshot and right past the apex slamming into the berm letting several rider's by. If he'd slow down he'd go faster.

I think everyone realizes vital will have moto news. Why not just state spoiler alert mxgp in the topic. Instead it’s impossible to lol through for ama and get this shit. Tact

I looked at it several times and I don't think that's the case. If you look where the other guys landed, you'll see that Herlings landed at least a bike length short. The guy who landed on Herlings landed in the normal place.

The thing that Herlings probably is upset about is that if you see a rider in front of you that get out of control and probably wont jump the full distance, you just dont send it and hope for the best as a rider that is behind him.

Did Herlings mess up? - Yes

Do you expect to be landed on from a guy behind that sees you getting cross rutted in the face of the jump? No..
Dude sounds like you raced before and know how to to make sense of something,
WTF are you doing on here

To anyone complaining about spoiler alerts, don't come on to a forum and not expect people to talk about the race

If I haven't seen the race, I'll stay off social and such, but I also think some people intentionally put a spoiler in the title to do just that: spoil it for the guy who happens to see it. I think the people that do that are d**kheads.

As far as the race is concerned, I'm bummed because Herlings is one of the most exciting racers to watch, and I know both him and TG both wanted a full season together to prove who the best is.

Compare a single jump into the sand (where you can see the landing) to a blind triple jump?

Yeah...ok.

Dude just got his season blown up again I'll give him a pass for being emotional. Who knows if he even watched the replay. And blowing smoke up his own ass? Prob the only dude on the planet who could have won hurt like that. Pat himself on the back as much as he wants. I knew as soon as he got hurt the pile on was coming. He could do no wrong and people are going to shit on him

And maybe take a step back and ask how addicted to their phone are they. Haven't watched the race yet but I have to surf the internet!!

Man. What a bummer. I totally blame the holeshot device / Herlings. Not the other rider. Beast to still win the Moto though.

That’s a bummer for Herlings, he can’t seem to catch a break. Don’t think you can really blame either guy though. If Monticelli checks up then he puts himself at risk of being landed on. No one ever said racing wasn’t dangerous.

Big brain moment. The world doesn’t revolve around you mate.
I watched it live on MXGP TV dikhed.

Others may not want the interest and excitement of something they're looking forward to partially destroyed a minute after the race has finished.

Interesting… there’s a post saying Jett should have checked up… now people are getting upset because a rider is blowing another rider out for not checking up? Vital logic.

No fault of Monticelli, he's racing not escorting Herlings.

Well don't go onto motocross forums where people talk about MOTOCROSS. How hard is this to understand.

Herlings is blaming the guy for landing on him even though he jumped half as far as he should have. 🙄 It's crazy he still won the moto though.
The guy right next to him jumped the same distance🤣
