Interesting that Factory Yamaha could not do anything with the bike, but some subcontractors could.

Well Yamaha was the first to field production bikes back in 1985, was this because they couldn't improve upon them?

I cannot wait for AP to get his first overall. The blue turds looked great today.

Looks to be the past management for the last 20 years,
Star turned the bike around very quick.

It’s obvious that the bike formerly known as the ‘blue pig’ should now be referred to as the ‘McCarty pig’ from here on.

I'm usually one of those who hates the "It's the bike" excuse. I'm a believer in that a champion can ride almost anything.

But I'm proven wrong, big time.

What factory Yamaha did to make those bike so shitty, I will never understand.

From a interview with Colt, he said "If we need something, we get it, doesn't matter if we are sponsored by the company or not, if there is something better we use it."

Would be really cool to hear a little more focused specificity about the bike changes, rather than a few cryptic comments here and there. Maybe interview Bobby Regan.

I thought you were talking about how the HRC Honda 250 waxed the Star racing Yamaha 250. What ever factory Honda did to that bike it made it better and faster.

It would be fair to say that team has logged more laps on that track than any other. Did that play a factor? I guess we will see as the season unfolds.

I think the biggest change they made was hiring a generational talent to ride it. Didn’t Jett win at Pala last year on the Geico bike, too?

Is it fair to say that the last race of the series is different from the 1st race ?
The championship had been pretty much decided by the last race so DF cruised to the title.
Yesterday’s race was more impressive since Jett came 18th to 2nd place in the 1st moto. In the 2nd moto he passed the mighty blue bikes & gapped them.
Yes, he is a talent, but the red 250f doesn’t appear to give up anything to the blue bike either. The red bike actually looked more dialed on that rough track yesterday.
