I'm excited about Discovery Plus. I was paying over $70 a month for YouTube TV for my girlfriend to be able to watch HGTV and Food Network. Now I can get just what we want for $5!
Now that is great to know. Those are the channels my wife watches as well. Might be saving $60 a month. Drop Youtube tv for Discovery+ asap.

Well that blows for international users.

Such a steal right? Meanwhile I just signed up to DAZN to watch all of their upcoming boxing matches and a ton of archived fights for the grand sum of £1.99 a month. I wonder if people will still give me shit for saying that I'm happy to search for free supercross streams.

Posted about that in the other thread.

With SX, Feld offers their SX pass at $130 USD, so we have that option, but what about international viewers and the MX Series?

Is something in the works with MX Sports or is everyone outside the US, SOL?

Sure hope something is in the works or Peacock is a downgrade.
Maybe MXGP TV can work together with the Outdoors series to get the racing to the international audience or Davey Coombs can work on a deal with motorsport.tv

As DC said, "It will be cheaper",....but that doesn't mean better. I'll pay whatever it is but our Sport is Dying,.....and some folks are still making a LOT of money off of it. Wonder Who those folks are?

Yes, that's what I also get without VPN. With VPN (choosing any US country/state) I can purchase any available service. I will probably wait a couple days until I get premium until I know if the stream works like the nbc sports gold one. But yeah, pretty sure VPN should work like charm aswell.

I'm following US sx/mx since 2011 now and I never paid the full international price so far. Always used VPN for anything.

I've been using Peacock a bit lately. I like it. Even the stuff that has commercials they give you an option to watch a minute to or of commercials up front and then the rest of the show/movie is commercial free.

I just read that you can keep watching the old replays through May 1 2021. NBC Sports Gold will NOT Auto renew subscriptions.

Our sport is dying? Race entry numbers are higher than they’ve been in over a decade, and dealerships are literally out of bikes. Shut your pie hole and look forward to an incredibly deep field of racing for $4.99 a month.

I followed the YouTube instruction video in the other 2021 SX thread
Great info, I just added mine to fire stick as well. Already had infinity.

I wonder if the races will be 1080@60fps because NBC Sports Gold image quality was such a downgrade compared to FoxSports app which was crystal clear and popped. The image quality on NBC Sports Gold was very flat...480i@30fps is such a disappointment way to watch SX.

I just got a free google TV chromecast as part of my YoutubeTV benefit. It has the peacock app.
I was just thinking if this get's too difficult I'll go back to my old way of sports bars and pizza parlors to watch SX/MX.

But then COVID and Emperor Newsom has shut down everything even outdoor dining.

I loved the service the last couple of years. But you're kinda right with this one, it never looked like 1080 like it should be.

I have a wife and two daughters and our viewing is quite diverse. I feel like I'm being asked to subscribe to some different streaming service every day. Today was Discovery+, WTF is that? lol
Once its added all up, they're costing as much as cable for the same amount of channels

So can you watch all the racing live for $4.99? I heard that some races will be aired next day if you buy the cheap package. Anybody know?

$49 for the year sounds like the move if you can watch all the races live.

NBC is doing this for all its motor sports coverage and I believe all sports that were/are on NBCSports Gold. Since Peacock is more than sports and will have more subscribers than NBCSports Gold that would give the sport to more accessible eyeballs...how can this not be a step forward....I guess there is always going to be people that resist any change....but to say our sport is dying is off base...Things are changing fast in the cable/streaming arena which has nothing to do with our sport but to keep up and stay relevant in an ever changing world change has to be made to keep up...As I go through this thread and see all the negativity regarding the change and if I were to go back a year or two most of the same people complained about any change to the broadcasts....all the bitching about MX being on two different networks and it was soooo hard to figure out how to change the channel between motos, well guess what, by changing to peacock you will no longer have to do that....funny how everyone has missed that point.,,,I can’t wait for the day of the race everyone bitching about how they cant log into their Gold account....

So confused. I have Direct TV. Is it gonna be on any channels I get?

I just learned how to use a firestick and bought the NBC sports thing for outdoors this past summer. We were camping, it was raining, and the race was on.

Where did you hear that? The broadcast on NBC/NBCSports may be delayed but not on Peacock, all races will be live and commercial free just as they were on Gold.

As for SX replays what I've found is that on Peacock you can watch replays of certain sports like the Premier Lsague BUT they expire after a month, so I'm worried we won't have the race archives for the last 3 years like we had with nbc gold.

Even though I criticized the package at times I loved being able to go back and watch races. Hell I'd pay a few bucks to subscribe to the archive if I had too. Its been my go to viewing the last fee years when I'm bored or just kicking back with a couple cold ones.

DAZN just became available in Aust too and it fucken rules (except the faarken commentary haha)
Geez I'd appreciate something similar for the SX and Nats but I'm hoping the SX will still be on our ESPN and I've got other ways to catch the Nationals haha

How do you pay with the vpn? Does it not recognize where your credit card is from or does it work anyway?

Seems a deal, unless there's an extra charge, and I don't see that

If thats so, based on past year schedules. We only had races into Aug. So 8×5=40. Thats money for drinks and snacks, and a trip to the track!

Probably, i feel like us Int views always get shafted one way or the other.

I've decided to make a call on how to view closer to the time.

If motogp ends up included in this I would be so happy. It probably won't because of dornas investment in their video pass, but I'll still be crossing my fingers.

What would it take to get archived races on YouTube? seems like the simplest solution for older races right?

Laughing I can’t help but laugh at their marketing. “Peacock Premium” sounds like the top tier, right? Nah, $4.99 Peacock Premium has ads. You don’t want ads? Need the $9.99 Peacock Premium Plus, and even then you get limited ads. lol

I’d rather watch the bulldozers while listening to drunk aunt Carol squawk at her nephew about when Grave Digger is gonna come out.
Did you actually READ the press release? It says commercial free coverage, not to mention for $5 per month you get a literal shit ton of other content. Peacock is basically NBC's streaming service and this is much better than paying $100 for NBC Gold for SX/MX. $100 gets you almost two years of this service. I guess you guys won't be happy unless they just offer live, commercial free streaming from any device for zero cost, and give you free tickets to the event. Even then, I am sure something wouldn't be good enough.
