Not sure why it so so difficult to visit the tracks you like, and dont go to the ones you dont like. Safety, big jumps, flaggers whatever the reason, dont like, dont go.....dont think bitching about will change anything...talk with your $

Back when my son raced I would have never considered anything other than going right to the source Face to Face before I ever did anything on social Media. Boy have things changed.

He did go straight to the source before making the post on social media.

Right. But was social media available then?

Social media fucking sucks. its no different than people telling fish stories but millions potentially hear that story overnight and it gets blown way out of context.

Perris and state fair are really funny. Both tracks are sub par, the prep is only good one day of the week and that’s when the pros show up. The owner is a complete tool who he thinks he’s running national level tracks. Perris does have good tacos though. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone else take over Perris and state fair shut down again. What ever happened to there 3rd track? Lol
Thanks for the positive feedback about our tacos. A little positivity is what we all need at this point. Let's face it, 2020 has been hell for all of us in one way or the other. If you find your way back to perris come up and get a plate of 5 tacos on us, your choice chicken or carneasada. Again thankyou

I thought you cant have any riders on abtrack unless there's an ambulance present. Use to be that way up here.

Nice. I can respect that and I’ll take you up on the tacos, your carne is bomb! The lady who changes tires all day kicks ass as well. Prep could just be better on weekends, and criticism shouldn’t be met with track bans. Thanks 🤙🏻

After watching that video...IMO, Metz is chill...Metz is right. Seems to me the bad publicity of banning him is worse than the bad publicity created by his constructive criticism. Oh yeah, and I also think drinking alcohol at the motocross track while riding or parenting a rider is stupid.

Right?! Haha. Many tracks here in Texas have zero flaggers on practice days. Get real good at looking way TF ahead. Many also have zero EMT’s on practice days. I don’t agree with it one bit - it’s the Wild West out here!

Why is plenty of flaggers such a hard thing? Nearly every track in the uk charges around 30 some even less and just about every track has plenty of flaggers to cover every couple of turns or blind jumps. 🤷‍♂️

If moneys an issue then a track needs to put the price up a bit to compensate.
You might be surprised if you look a little harder.
UK practice regs only require a First Aider to be on site. Do you know how easy/cheap it is to gain a first aid certificate here now? Do you know what medical equipment a first aider is allowed to carry & use? It’s laughable and so so dangerous, yet you’ll find so many Uk motocross practice tracks operate at that minimum level.

Nobody knows about it until the shit hits the fan..

Next track you go to, politely ask about the days Medical team- ask if they carry oxygen, are they qualified to carry and use IV pain relief, etc etc..
you’ll probably be horrified to find they only have a box of Elastoplast & slings.

If I was the parent of a rider, I’d only be taking him/her to the very best tracks that have a minimum of a Qualified Paramedic on site.

I thought all tracks would need at least qualified paramedic onsite for insurance to be valid? I know a few track owners where that is the case for their insurance.
Ive done the first aid training multiple times so im aware of how basic the training is.
I know all the local tracks i ride have a qualified paramedic on site and not just first aid as ive seen them in action a plenty of times over the years.

Emts would be great everytime we ride but I rode so many private tracks that were way more dangerous than a public track more often the last few years and hell I rode ftt and 74 family fun park a year before they opened with 2 to 3 other people ever at most even on the property. If you charge admission you should have emt and flaggers no doubt but not much of an option at private tracks.

If you take something online you are consciously trying to hurt that business. That's fine and it's your choice. But dont start crying if the business bans you.

He could have taken it up directly with the owner and left it at that.

A paramedic requires medical control, usually operating under a physicians license. To carry and use pain control meds is a huge responsibility and $$$. Again, it's about money. People want it all and they want it at 50% off. About all I hope for is that there is a competent first aider that can maintain an airway and control bleeding until a full EMS crew can get there.
I've never questioned the crew at State Fair but I think I will next time I'm out there. I had a paramedic license for 30 years so maybe I will offer myself up as an extra pair of hands.

Damn I would not want to be a track owner. Too many rides behaving like complete tools..
I’m not old enough to have known Metzger in his prime, surely he must have been good on a bike in his day but today he may have to start dealing with being treated like just another guy.

I agree 100% no alcohol on trackside. If your riding then ride, shouldnt have time to drink. If your spectating then make sure your watching out for the community in general.

Really not that hard to run and operate a good track. Its like any other business (ITS CALLED WORK) understand what your supposed to do or get out of the business!!! If you cant staff the track with flaggers then you need not to operate a track. Too much risk!

I've seen dad's poppin' beers at 11am at the track. I don't know how they could enforce it -although I don't recall seeing any No Alcohol signs posted anywhere.

If you don't like a track, don't go.
They have the right to deny access to anyone, and if you libel their business in social media be glad you only got banned and not sued.

Maybe riders should give up an hour of ride time to flag a corner. Yeah, right.
I don't think all of Metzgers followers ride. They just follow the Bro lifestyle.
I don't know why my edit didn't work last night.
At least he had the class to pull his original vid down. He does make some good points. I have stopped a couple times and asked the flagger to remove a chunk that looked like it came from a concrete block and a decent sized rock another time. They both really stood out on the track. I hope this gets resolved because I hate to see his son caught it the middle of this.
