I hope they don't sign Barcia. He can be fast, but is not very consistent in his finishing positions. He may be the best available option to get some results right now, I just would rather see Savagty in that spot, he isn't any more consistent but a healthy Savagty is faster than Barcia most days.
Maybe they sign them both, who knows.

So what happens to Forrest Butlers team? Are they staying a KTM satellite team? I thought they would be a shoe in for the Gas Gas deal.

He had a good weekend. He is capable of running up front, he just doesn't do it every race. Some days he is crazy good other days he is nowhere. Then he has his little hissy fits and tries to bully people, then when the confront him he cries and whines about how they are picking on him and he did nothing wrong. Over it, I like physical racing, it's fun to watch. But if you put a guy in the cheap seats you better man up when they come after you.

Factory bike is pure KTM factory machine. Production is a ktm watered down. No hydraulic clutch, no brembo brakes. Something to that nature. A more affordable Ktm.

Barcia doesn't get much respect on here. He's got multiple 450 wins and 2 250SX titles. None of which Savatgy has.

I hope we can get a healthy Bam Bam on a red KTM for 2 seasons. Then we'll see if the "blue pig" has been the problem. I'm not sure it's the bike with Barcia, because he was complaining a lot about his factory Honda in 2014 too. But the KTM package seems to be universally liked at the top level when riders make the move onto it, so we shall see if Barcia can step up on one.

KTMs have had hydraulic clutches since 1998 . I find it hard to believe they wouldn't include it on the GasGas .

Jimminy cricket. Yes it’s a ktm, but it will be a cheaper version with less goodies. 🙈

Not to derail the thread but I would 100% shocked to see it come without a Hydraulic clutch. Hasn't KTM been using that for like 25 years now?

Yes. Magura hydro clutch and brakes rather than brembo for cost saving. I'd be shocked also . About as shocked as if they went back to a carburetor.

It would cost ktm more money to source outside parts rather than just using what they have in storage lol, nobody in their right mind would think that they would ditch the hydro clutch for a wire when their entire engine is built around it? Are they putting a kickstarter instead of e-start aswell? Laughing

Yes lets do it! Barcias rev the balls clean off it style would suit the 350 perfect. Cant see it ever happen tho. He talked about moving to England when he retires. Id love to see him ride a 350 in the British championship for a season ✊🏻

Maybe their plan is to cover so much of the market then flip the switch and bring back professional 2 stroke racing in Supercross and motocross.

Someone call Reed to manage it - could be real valuable TESTING them and getting improvements out of them - and good mentor for the racers.

Yeah.... reed is not the mentor type or necessarily a good tester for anyone but himself. He’s a bike setup head case

Barcia passed a LOT of riders in both motos, especially moto 2.
He went from 14th to 3rd in the first moto.
In the second moto he went from a first turn crash to 8th in 3 laps.
I'm expecting a great season from him this year.
He should stay where he's at. It's working.
