Thoughts on the track?

I was a little skeptical for a national, but I think being tight and pretty rough made for some really good racing. I prefer some elevation changes, but overall I thought it was a nice change from the long high speed typical national tracks where the riders tend to get more gapped out over 30 minutes.

I thought it was awesome. The Mx Sports crew did an amazing job with it, especially given how much rain fell the last couple days.

Track was great , but camera positions were awful, some were dark as hell, and the next one was bright.. never seen that from Lorettas coverage.

I think a few tweaks, and no rain, it will be different again

...that was a brutal racetrack, in that condition I sure wouldn't want to ride on it unless I had to...

I'm glad I didn't have to ride it. There was great racing today. Excited for round 2. Good job MXsports!

Better than I expected! Hope this inspires DC to start changing up the track each year for the Amateurs.

It was good and cool to have a race there but I'm not superpumped about round 2 being there. Dont get me wrong because I will be glued to the tv but losing Washougal and racing on this track again is so 2020 Wink

It was better than I had originally anticipated. The changes they made I felt helped open it up a little bit and obviously the conditions made it extremely rough and rutted. Overall I thought it was pretty good.

I was surprised! Also had the thought of them possibly reversing it for next week. That would be cool. If they were able to do it in SX why wouldn’t they be able to do it here?

Track was pretty damn good from what I saw. Maybe not ideal, but pretty damn good.

You didn’t like it when they went to the pylon cam when no riders were in sight?

Meh. It was better as it dried out. Do not like ruts. But, it looked plenty rough and produced solid racing. Prefer hills and natural terrain.

Great track considering the weather they had. Tight for an outdoor track and super soft dirt. I can't help but think that the 3 weeks of vigorous practicing that Osborn and Anderson did in Europe to prep for MXON (sometimes with top level GP riders), and things they no doubt learned, was of some benefit today. Track was very euro-like in many regards. Zach and Jason looked fast and flowed well. Jason just gassed in moto 2 I think.

I liked it, I think they should have a wider variety of tracks anyways. A mostly flat track like that with no super technical obstacles, just racing each other on a generally challenging track. Toss in an all natural terrain track, sand track, and a hardpack track.

Thanks to DC and the gang for getting the outdoor season out together. Probably not ideal conditions, but we all got to see some racing that was a big question mark..

Hats off to DC for making this happen. Putting this whole season together and then getting thrown a curve ball from Washougal.

Was thinking the same thing about it looking like some of the GP tracks. I also found myself wondering why all the talk in advance of the National that it was a "one time only" deal and "not ideal" for a pro national; aside from the lack of natural elevation changes, looked great to me from TV. Are there logistical concerns with having a regular national at LL? Because it's far from the worst track on the circuit, in my opinion...

I liked it a lot. Might not be a popular opinion, but I'd be a big fan of it being a regular on the schedule.

Great track and tough as fuck. Produced great racing and also proved that you don't need a high speed road racing circuit to provide close racing. I loved it. No place to rest. Fantastic test.

Would have to agree, not stoked that they’ll be back there next round.

Conditions were fine and racing was good. Watching the worlds best on a uninspiring track won’t get me scrambling to watch it live, I’ll wait for the highlights.

i didnt think it was too bad. the flatter layout reminds me of Texas or Kenworthys.

while not wide open, it didnt seem like the track was too narrow for racing.
