You can make fun of the Suzuki's all you want but they are still a fantastic bike and look better then most of the others. Im a big guy and race B class and have no problem beating people on every other brand as well as pulling holeshots on this "outdated heavy bike". I really dont understand the obsession around here with trashing them especially by people who dont ride them or never have.

I wonder what your bike would look like with the blue YZ color rims.. That would be sweet..

You guys have to understand where all the Suzuki hate comes from...you need to realize it's a very sensitive topic for all other brands. They are still bitter from 2006 when the Suzuki (fastest bike in history) lapped the entire field. Every color was lapped, even the blue pig that excels in the mud. People will never get over this butt hurt of being lapped, and the record will never be beaten. The yellow bike has the top spot forever, and it didn't even need a 5th gear to do so:

Year - 2006
Location - Millville
Rider - The GOAT
Bike - RMZ450

You win bra. Nothing will top that.

Is posting pics of your rmz and videos of past professional racers on extremely not stock Suzuki’s from a completely different era a way to prove a point? Not sure why that also always happens in these Suzuki threads.

Because dudes posting pics of a totally stock bike is best reserved for a “spoke with my wallet thread”. It’s a way of saying “you’re going to modify it anyway so who gives a flip what they’re like stock”.

You get a good platform for a damn good price. People get butt hurt because deep down Suzuki’s business decisions regarding new motocross models are seen as a threat to the sport.

So, to the OP, take it up with your therapist.

Has like 7k in mods on that bike lmao. Obviously it's sick.
He obviously love the trick stuff and he would have the same mods on a 2021 KTM. Nice bike BTW

100% stock. Plenty of power for me. Pretty sick bike for $6700 if you ask me.

Had a 2008 Zuki 450. Never had a problem. Made a slow guy like myself look like I knew what I was doing in the turns.... super fun bike. Dealers/support in the area died off during the recession it seemed and never came back. They left and KTM came in. Marketing can do wonders.

But can knock the machine. Great bike!

Great point !!
To your comment, I’ve owned 3 KTM FE 450’s and another 9 KTM 500/300’s. All great bikes.
I can own any bike I want and after selling the last KTM 450, I went back to the RMZ 450. It just works better for me and I can start it with my hand, so it’s really not an issue for me.
As far as electric start, there are many off-road 2-stroke KTM owners who remove the Kickstarter to save weight. So all this BS of being outdated without an electric start are just silly...
A buddy of mine kicks his KTM every time he starts it, he doesn’t use the button. He’s 61 years old

My opinion - Unlikely a current rider today on a 2020 bike would have beat him that night.

I've watched this race countless times and never get tired of it.

Hope ya all enjoy the refresher....

My 2017 is stock other than a slip on and it does just fine. Had no problem getting holeshots on it either.
I wonder...
How many of these guys have ever won their class at Day in the Dirt?
(Btw, on a 2018 RMZ)
How many of these guys even race...let alone...ride?

I'm jus' sayin'...

I have ridden a pretty well sorted 2020 RMZ450, am I faster on it than my CRF? No, BUT there is little wrong with the RMZ (although I disliked the shock), I mean engine wise you just short shift the heck out of it to use the big torque numbers it has, you can go fast on them for sure.

Why wouldn't you? Genuine question from the other side of the world! I would like a leader in Australia that actually has some balls and does something for the people. Regardless of whether you like him as a person.... Prior to Covid, was America in a better position under his presidency? Unemployment rate dropping ,manufacturing returning etc..

I dont want to derail the original thread topic or start a shit fight as i get the impression politics is a super touchy subject for the US citizen's, unlike us aussies that just float along wondering who we are getting bent over and rammed with a pineapple by next.

Over the last Six years I've owned every brand, threw every mod and trick part on it. Bought the 20' RMZ450 and realized this is the Look,Power and Handling I've been chasing, not to mention price, Clean & Simple!

I've always been a Suzuki fan and have owned several. The are still good bikes and work great for plenty of people. They just currently don't offer what I am looking for in a bike, these days. And I wish they would put more effort into their line-up. That is their choice, and it is also the consumer's choice to go elsewhere to spend their money. I don't understand the bashing/hate for them but I also don't understand how people get so mad when someone says why they are disappointed in them or don't want to buy one. Ride what you like.

Again, the fattest, heaviest, slowest, least-R&Ded 450 MX bike is still a supermodel. I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers.

Same colours as the jgr bike, but a rm logo instead of the suzuki logo. That's the only change I know. The e start and 7 pounds lighter bike is probably more for 2022...

Man, that’s what the Factory Bikes need to look like.
