Nationals Postponed - Again

Well, I guess I'll just go ride my dirtbike more until we get some races back......Not like we can do a whole heck of a lot about it other than do your part to minimize the spread. Fingers crossed we can get some races sooner than later. Thanks to DC and Co. for everything they're doing to make it happen.

My old employer Michels has 4,000 or more track hoes and dozers. 16 or 18 divisions of construction, they still invent construction. They could easily hand the job. When people see it on tv. Being from the Seattle area, this is hilarious.

Ah and yea we went back into panic mode after we were told cases went up and our mayor said the Yakima county had a hospital out of beds due to a massive rise in cases. The hospital the he was referring to subsequently released a statement assuring local people what he said was not true.

Anyway, appreciate this thread being kept open just long enough for some of us (from either opinion) to vent.

But how do I trust anybody who would tell me - no mass gatherings, you'll all get the virus & spread it all over the place - unless of course it is a protest/riot!

Those mass gatherings are OK - either you won't get CV from it, or if you do, the lives lost are worth it!

I mean a life was lost to trigger the protests/riots, so if a 1,000 or 10,000 more lives are lost due to the protest spreading CV.......

Your math doesn’t factor in the cost of racism for folks in this country. Yes, it’s daunting, but it requires serious, deep consideration.
It’s easy for me to be disgusted by looters, or to think protesters not wearing masks are stupid. But maybe the easy thought is not appropriate.

It looked like only two facilities had committed to racing. Maybe with the recent CV news no other tracks were willing to have a race so there was no sense in starting a series with two tracks.

Hopefully, some 'outside of the box' thinking is going on right now to do something.

I would be interested in knowing if the promoters feel having a race with no fans is feasible or not. Big money hit for sure.

I still think we get some racing in. The increase in CV cases was totally expected with reopening the country and a massive increase in testing. So not doom and gloom.

Let's keep the faith racing will happen soon!
