Grew up in the mountains of Southern Oregon- Honda MR50, XR80, Kawi KX125, Honda CR250's, CRF450 #262. Raced in the woods, the desert, the track, and the pavement. Roadraced from 1999-2006, raced everything they put under me. And crashed most of it as well...

Sold all of my bikes and moved to Kauai, HI. Missed racing. Everyday. Travelled the U.S. as an aviation millwright until 2012. Moved to Portland OR. Bought more bikes...
Got "back" into racing- mostly motocross. Proud to be part of the Washougal MX family and back at the tracks in general.

Bought a van and jammed it full of dirtbikes and surfboards and headed for So. Cal.
Splitting time between OR, CA, and HI.

I raced at Pala last weekend. It went smoothly. There were all the usual classes & the promoter, who's name will go unmentioned, made the day go quick-n-easy. My class, 'Fat Old Folks Over 50' raced 2 motos of 5 laps and I loved every damn lap. The track was EXCELLENT, the flagging was better than usual and the races seemed to go...as I said...really, really smooth-n-easy...well, other than Rider DiFrancesco scaring the living crap out of us with a stellar crash in his 1st moto! Just be a good dude at the track. If you see someone struggling, give them some advice or a hand, not poke fun and laugh at them. If you see someone doing something stupid or dangerous call them out but again give them some advice or show them how to be smart and safe. Bullshit with the people who park next to you and just generally be a nice, and pleasant person at the track. I'm not saying you need to be everyone's best friend at the track, but just be open and welcome to others around you to show...

Bought one of these after seeing it suggested by about 4,697 people on here. About 10 hrs ride time so far and I love it! Works great with a smallish backpack/largish camelbak set up. Thanks for the suggestion my fellow Vitards.

Quit making tracks with such short lap times. Try to keep the lap times in the mid to high 50's so they aren't doing 26 lap main events and lapping near the top 10. Less lappers, Issue solved.

To be honest I think it's easy to blame Wilson for Roczen not getting the win and I am a huge Roczen fan since I'm german. But in my opinion Roczen kind of messed up all by himself. He had somewhat like a 3.5 seconds lead the last few laps and he shouldn't have get Webb that close to him. And I also think he did a bad job in trying to pass Wilson, he was more focused on Webb and not on getting around Wilson. And to your question, I think Webb would have move anyone out of his...

After following all the multiple threads about Saturday's race, I have a question for all of you offended by Wilson holding up Roczen: Do any of you think that if the positions had been reversed that Webb would have followed anyone for 1.5 laps? I watched a couple times, Wilson wasn't "blocking" Roczen in the sense that he was changing lines to hold him up. He didn’t do anything wrong to begin with. Blue flag is a courtesy flag, no obligation to move over. Everyone is taught from the beginning hold your line the faster guys will go around. Love both these guys but Kenny should’ve found a way around. I know I’m not moving over at that point

Hubbard has been the in stadium announcer for several seasons, he isn’t new. With the budget cuts now the Race Day Live and Night show duties are shared. There’s only fans in the stands from Q2 on, and they are piping in the audio from Race Day live to the stadium instead of having a separate feed. Hubbard then goes back to in stadium announcing during the races. And Daniel goes to the NBC broadcast. Jim is left the odd man out.
