Dry, slippery track, short lap times, no fans...

Did I just watch an AMA Supercross, or a fair race?

Even if no one is there, Ralph should at least light the candles for us.

I did not like the day time supercross racing tbh. Something about it felt off

Announcing was definitely fair race level. Track was terrible. Can't believe a event on this level can't produce a better product.

Yeah that was the biggest thing I noticed too. Just doesn't have the same feel to it at all.

I oddly enjoy watching some of the best dirt bike riders in the world. And the way they dealt with the dry flat corners. As a fan of flat track that was fun to watch.

Gotta be less nervous for the riders with no fans there

Why are they racing in the day?

I love watching the best searching for traction on flat, fast curves.
MEC has lots of that, reason I had to go.

I’m so glad it’s back. Some serious anchor drops for 4 and 10, we need some reports.

Update, 10 coming back from broken hand.

This. Hard to keep decent track conditions on hard pack baking in the sun and wind. Assuming a reason, and haven't looked closely but are they all at this time?

Lights add too much to the production cost.

I’ve never liked daytime supercross races either.

It wasn't perfect but most people can bitch about ANYTHING.

Seriously I'm just pumped they're back racing for us fans, look at the glass half full fellas.

It's 2 races a week and a crowned 20' SX Champ at the end, just be thankful we dont have to wait another 85 days for a race.

This could be true. Money is why no pre-show with Holley.

Dry track! Might aswell bring in some sand. I liked the drifting in the corners, but it limits passing. The Dust... it’s kinda embarrassing

My understanding is the times are based on when NBC had time slots. For example, this Wednesday's race doesn't start until 10PM Eastern.

I recorded it. Then I started watching it around 8, and after a few minutes I started fast-forwarding through everything but the start, first lap, and last two laps, of each race. I'd like to say I felt like I missed something truly exciting by all that fast-forwarding - but I didn't. To me, Supercross during the day is kinda like warm beer for breakfast: it's not that the product itself is bad, it's that the timing and delivery make it SEEM so.

Variety is the spice of life.

If only the nationals would take this in. Best thing about watching the GPs, or Washougal/Muddy Creek sometimes is watching Pros hammer over super sketchy and difficult terrain.

Red Bud might be the "best" track but it has also delivered a lot of follow the leader slot car racing.

I have never been a fan of daytime SX but it sure was great to see some live racing again. I don’t pay much attention to the announcing so no complaints from me

It was different but the riders are the best in the world and they adapted just like the professionals they are!

Nobody thought the 2020 SX season would be completed and here we are . . .

I guess we have some people that don't like watching the best supercross riders on the planet unless everything is perfect...

I thought it was awesome to get back racing. Track had some lanes and combos that were challenging enough and traction was low. It produced decent racing in my opinion. I think the night races will be better.

But please continue to whine about getting to watch supercross...

I loved it, stoked we were back racing and the beginning of that 450 main was intense!
I do wish it was at night, I think the track may have held up better and the atmosphere would be cooler..
So happy to be back though!

I like the fact that we finally got to see some racing. 41 42 second lap times, 30 lap mains and 250s lapping up to 5th Place not so much. Let's hope they can do a little better on Wednesday. Take part of the track outside the stadium it can be done.

Great racing! I love to watch it even it was a bit dusty.
Track was easy for reason and laptimes will get to 50 when they make it more difficult.

They weren’t empty they had cardboard cut outs with pictures of people. Very real looking

Or up into the stands.

I'm sure y'all are going to down vote this, but is this good for the sport of SX? The track is relatively one lined, boring one-lined racing, lots of dust, awkward interviews. I'm not a big fan of this, but hey the show must go on I guess....
