Yeah. Personally I’m sick of star and especially Will. Pulp shouldn’t give those cry babies the time of day.

Keefer is the man and this will only make people like him more.

Go ride the geico bike.

I never thought it was that big of a deal. I thought it was mainly material for the show. Steve and Kris just want to ride the bike. I don’t blame them, I’d love to experience all of those factory bikes but to phrase it as a “test” is pretty hilarious and I think Matthes knows that. What exactly is Steve going to test? What does he compare it to? I know Kris is a respectable rider but all he can compare it to is stock so is there really even a point? We know it is a badass motorcycle compared to any stock bike.

No doubt! You tune into Pulp for the banter about the last races and get almost an hour of BS whining about testing a bike. Then a lot of other stuff till finally some news about the races and really very little of that.

It’s nothing more than exactly what Matthes said last night: someone didn’t want his group to test his bike for past reasons and they reached out to Donn because he’s close to the team.

Donn doesn’t listen to pulp the same way Matthes doesn’t look at our content. It’s nothing personal, it’s just how they are.

The pulp super fans that badgered the team didn’t help the cause, either. Comments like fuck Wil Hahn, while funny, aren’t well received by people at decision making levels.

(Don’t quite understand the thumbs down considering I’m giving you the complete truth and even more context into the situation but okay...)
This isn’t sarcastic but what decision makers?

What else do you need to know?
How do the engine mounts feel?

Is this a quote from Keefer after dark?

Thanks Anton, obviously we're not encouraging our listeners to go and type some of those things out, it's a social media thing for sure but it is cool our listeners support us. And yes, no hate comms for you guys there at SML.

But I will say this, speaking of decision makers at an OEM, they're also not happy about the guy on that team giving SML the test that had been arranged by us.

That's all, it's all good. We'll move on and hopefully Keefer will calm down someday here soon. LOL

I don’t care about some segments but they talked about what the people want to hear. Look at the interest/response in this forum on the topic.

I thought it was interesting. A little insight into what goes on behind the scenes. I enjoy the show and the race recaps.

The fist video of Swapmotolive, at 35sec, Donn says “I think we are pawns in some sort of game Brad Hoffman is playing”

I think for a joke they call it the Yamaha star test and test one of those Star cruiser bikes that Yamaha sells.

Pulp takes me like a week to listen to lol. They are so long it’s crazy. I like it though because it gives me stuff to listen to in the car.

Fuck star, I was a fan of Ferrandis but since Brad wants to be a fuckwit I'll root for anyone else but those bikes.

And tbh I've never seen anything from swap moto and won't look for it after this, I get enough content between pulp and vital. And they haven't named their website after their own name Dry

Thumbs down if you agree.

Some times I think people in "the industry" underestimate the Pulp Network and the pulp fans.

If 5 people buy something else because of this Brad guy...was it really worth it?

If I was Steve I would be talking to Kehoe on getting a red bike to ride for next year. RD5 is out so there should be a spare one.

Yeah, you should only be pissed (but why?) at one guy really. Brad Hoffman outranks Wilbur and offered up the ride to Swapmotolive as a fuck you to Matthes and Pulp for whatever happened in the past.

Not sure I want to be Brad right now with how pissed Yamaha and others are. This makes that whole side look petty and disingenuous. Yamaha doesn't want that on their doorstep.

And Donn didn't go behind Steve's back (as mentioned by Steve) to set this up, but I know it had to be awkward for sure.

To me it was a matter of principle that this has been talked about and many people were involved in trying to get the test to happen. I'd be pissed if I went through the legit steps necessary to do something only for it to be handed to a company that literally did nothing to do it. Clearly it was done as jab but it was extremely unprofessional and one man made a single company look very bad to a large network of people. Its nothing to be proud of. The way I look at is steve criticized the team when they needing the criticism. Now look at star it's the power house of the 250 class. To me that success should have been more than enough to overcome simple criticism from steve. But adulting can be hard for some as well.

I had no idea Moto Media was getting as tribal as politics.

Some of you guys are way over the top on this.

Regardless if this was cool with Steve or not, it's quite clear that Keefer really wanted to ride that bike and I really wanted to hear what he thought of it. I respect Keefers opinions on stuff.

Steve gives Star Yamaha radio time EVERY show.
Worth nothing apparently, just saying.

I was really looking forward to Keefers opinion on that bike. My opinion means nothing but I think it was unprofessional at best and came off as petty on someones part...

Sure but Yamaha must have been loving the attention pulp has been giving them about this Star bike that made it seem untouchable.
I’m sure this hype led a lot of people to by Yamaha 250f’s.
Brads grudge just stopped that train of praise lol
Will probs between a rock and a hard place
