Numerous riders almost ate shit off that dragons back, mookie had a massive panic rev moment. Webb had done it the race before and many more riders. Seemed like the distance was kind of long for a dragons back didn’t it?

And no I’m not saying “take dragon backs out” I think they’re an awesome part of the racing. But I think something should have been done after adam ate shit and other riders with near misses.

I think it was how low the last whoop was. When they showed it in track walk I was just thinking how easy it would be to miss that last one with your front wheel.

Instead of a gap between the last whoop in the dragons back and the next jump, they should have just made it a table top. Less challenging but safer. Everyone had to launch the dragons back to stay on pace. Minor error was season ending injury.

If there is no hard, technical stuff on the track, there wouldn't be any passes... If a rider isn't comfortable, they can always skim the first few. And there will always be places where a rider can go down, just part of the sport

Or just make it safe? Lol idk man lost 2 championship contenders in one night. Like I said tons of riders had near misses. Top whoop was kicking the shit out of them

It's just not a competitive obstacle where you can lose or make up time. Too dangerous for what it adds to the racing. IMO. James Marshall might agree with me...

The triple was neither big nor a factor in Webbs crash. AC hit the face, would have been the same result if it were a single or any other obstacle.

If you are going to roll out the dragons back, don't put a bunch of peaked jumps after it. Hope they never do that again. Can't believe we lost 2 top riders.

The landing of the dragons back was too sharp (and/or too far). When the rear wheel was catching the edge it was catapulting the rider into an OTB. I like when it is technical but here i think that at that speed it was a bit of a lotery.

I'm all in for the removal of dragonback sections in Supercross. I'm not sure how the riders feel about them, but I'd imagine a huge percentage of them would say they're sketchy and unnecessary. Unless it's in a slow section replacing a wall jump, I think they should be removed from layouts, especially before a SX triple. Adam, Cooper, and Decotis all crashed on the dragonback tonight and I'm sure there were others in qualifying.

We were sitting right at the dragons back and several guys, Webb, Mookie, etc were hitting that so damn fast and leaving on the second to last lip we were holding our breath every time. Robin had the coolest entry with lifting his front wheel then clearing the landing. Almost every 250 guy was nosing into the landing and full panic rev.

They were going faster over the dragon than the triple so momentum wasn't an issue. I think it's because there were 5 whoops on it instead of the normal 3-4. Just like the whoops. There were 15 and guys tended to crash at about whoop 10 when they're normally ending.

When the track is easy everyone complains that there’s no passing and that it’s “startercross”. When there’s hard stuff everyone complains that it’s a circus and death trap.

Do you want good racing or poorly thought out tracks that result in injuries thus taking out stars of the sport which ultimately drops ticket sales if riders are dropping like flies? You're the biggest dipshit in here if you aren't looking out for the riders safety. These guys have families to support and we don't need bullshit track designs taking away their paycheck. These guys are the best athletes in the world and they're going to ride anything you put in front of them at the fastest level of their abilities, but to an extent dirt wurx just needs to think these sections through a bit better and stop putting these guys at risk more than they already are.

Spot on, and just goes to show how little many of the loudest guys here know about racing. Passes made possible by difficult or dangerous obstacles are rarely as good as passes made possible by a well executed block, scrub, cut under, or combination of the three.

I like challenging obstacles that only 1-5 can do, but, make it so not making it results in a 1 second problem, not a trip to hospital, and missing the rest of the races.

Guess we should take out the whoops , rhythm sections, fast straights, oh and let’s not forget the finish line double and triples ... cause we don’t want to put them at risk more then they already are since they ride a motorcycle professionally . Just think about it you could put tables everywhere and people will still crash and get injured

Most riders were able to do the dragons back without issue all day. I’m not saying things can’t be made safer because I’m sure they can but Supercross is tough and shit happens. Hell AC himself said it was his fault.

Guessing no one took the time to watch the post race press conference and listen to what, Kenny, Tomac and Anderson had to say about it.

No passes were being made over it, it was not a separater on the track, just an obstacle that took out two of the best in the series.
