Yep, Agreed. My first time at really getting to know and learn about RC. He is definitely a class act! He was extremely knowledgeable about the sport and Industry. If anyone in the sport has the right to be conceited it's him, but, to the contrary he is very humble and approachable. He's taken some flack on here about his TV presentation. To me he was very well spoken through out the show. I wish the TV format would give him a similar opportunity to shine and share his knowledge about the sport.

Some interesting things to me were: to learn the extent dedicated to improving his craft throughout his career. His ability to read the track was mind boggling. I liked the way he interacted with the various teams he was on at the time. Sounds like he truly treated his team members as "family". And so many more ....

Anyway, a great show. If you get a chance, you should give it a listen.

Great perspective. To me, and to your point, you can tell Ricky went on to do great things and you can tell he's a guy who's had an agent/manager and coach for handling tough questions diplomatically. He's a great ambassador for the sport.
Yeah, I believe that he called those individuals Mom and Dad. He is well known for giving his Parents the respect and credit as any child should for keeping him grounded.

Best whiskey show yet. He’s a smart level individual, more than I thought before.

I wouldn't mind a part 2 with RC. Alot of stuff that wasn't covered. Just off the top of my head. More am career, when him and pro circuit were at ends and he was pitting out of a pop tent wearing different gear, why did he go to fro's 98 kx250 chassis what made it so much better than the 01, flying off the side of MT st Helen, his temper at the races like threatening to shoot Tim ferry in the face, more on the works rmz450 and tortelli who was also main competition in his early 250 years, his reaction to the US open on the RM250 when the bike broke.

Some talk of 97 was great, 97 Millville by then he was the man. Going to dominate the day, talk of who is top five. But before the race everyone knew, Ricky is going 1-1 . At Millville where like, show us how fast you can go. It,s just like at home Ricky. 1st lap last. Jump before the whoops, before anyone could see. Ricky we knew it was him. And bam like he was shot out a cannon, he,s flying way higher and sideways than any rider.

I love this shit! We flew from Australia as a family to Glen Helen 06 to watch RC finish his full-time career there. He got hurt which was a bummer but got to have a real good chat with him prior in the pits. As soon as he heard our Aussie accents he pulled us aside and said how bummed he was for our country that we lost Steve Irwin recently. What a humble gentleman

Great great show. I've enjoyed all the episodes I have seen, only a few, but I really really enjoyed this one. GOAT in ALL aspects!!!

I share the sentiment of everyone. As far as GL blabbering is concerned...i don’t mind it...sometimes he talks a tad bit too long....especially when the liquids are flowing...which led me to an idea. Why not force Grant to have a powerdot device attached to....i dont know...his thigh...and each time he starts dragging on too long, Ping, or the guest, gets to Zap him with the highest setting. Honestly ide pay money to see that..just for Grant’s reaction. They could call it the “Langston Power break” segment / moment.

For the interview, INCREDIBLE. But they stayed away from these things i would’ve liked to hear. More on Zolder and Everts duel. Riding in Europe experiences in general. Fuel gate. Tortelli (not enough on outdoors in general). Smashing RonRon’s ankle at hangtown 01 or 02. Doping was a question mark during his era....but yeah probably cant really bring that up / impossible to answer....more des nations stories...racing Vuillemin..

But big praise to GL, PING and the team. Very easy to say what we would’ve liked to have heard, but they did an amazing job. Getting the pay info was huge. I remember the speculation back then...and i think it was defining lower than the numbers said. Loved the Ping grudge story and making fun of GL regarding steal city 01. Well done!!

One of the best interviews ever. Really enjoyed that. Have a much deeper respect for Carmichael, he comes across as a genuinely good guy. Love that he's humble considering his mountain of achievements. More sports "celebrities" could take a lesson from this guy.

As for Langston "blabbering and interrupting".... people need to shut the hell up. The format resembles a bunch of guys sitting around a cooler shooting the shit. Both he and Ping are doing a phenomenal job.

RC and DeCoster are definitely two guys we’ve discussed doing a “part two” with. Sooo much discuss and we can only keep them there for so long. I wanted to get into Des Nations for sure, we just didn’t have time. Part two next year?

Im surprised they didn’t ask about the fuel penalty. I’m sure there are a lot of juicy details not many people know about the behind scenes on that one

RC said he hated riding racing in the rain and mud I believe. But man he spanked everyone in that mud national where Reed and James had issues even making one lap. What race was that?

Millville. Part 2 would be great. Remember Ricky,s 1st. 3 years racing, he always grabbed his face guard on his helmet off of jumps. Everyone had there theory of why. More nationals and Everts talk. I agree Ping and GL do a great job. They should vacation in w. Wi. After Millville this year. Worlds largest water parks, sparta wi. Bicycle Capital in America, longest tunnels, jump rope capitol. Opra lives in the area, she could take the boys to the next level. Get inspired by the statue of. king Gambrinus patron saints of beer, world,s largest 6 pack, endless fun and very peaceful. Nobody hassles Robert Plant or Larry the cable guy.

The Mitch and Troy Lee episode was my favorite but this one has set a whole new bar. I've watched it 4 times now beginning to end it is absolutely incredible. The behind the scenes info is amazing and growing up a huge RC fan this was exactly what I've always been hoping for. Please do a pt 2 there's so much more we'd all love to hear.

Racing could be so effing boring when RC was on top- he pretty much won every time. But we were witnessing greatness!

Ok I retract my earlier comment.

I watched the show on YouTube for a second round rather than just listen to the podcast. Great interview, much better to watch and listen because you can see and understand the interaction between the 3 guys. Langston is a cool shit, I know he likes to talk too but it makes more sense because they are just sitting there bench racing. Different feel to watch than just listening to podcast.

Whole show was amazing. A lot of insight into things I (and I'm sure most people) never heard about before.

Definitely need a Part 2 to cover some more of the controversial topics as mentioned above. Also, maybe a bit more insight into racing DV in 02 and if he ever had any worry there. In fact, tons more insight into 02-05 would be awesome. From Reed to finally racing Stewart toward the end of 05 while still on the 2-smokes.

My god the "scream cry" thing had me rolling! Laughing GREAT SHOW!

All You guys I recommend the lunniss one for a listen. Didn’t give it much but between the Vietnam war, Hanna, and Craig talk it was a must listen! When he said Craig couldn’t read “which I don’t hold against him in any way” I blew my mind. Another Awesome listen from whiskey throttle

Make sure you listen to the Last Call with Jeff Emig on that... his story about working with Brian at the MXdN in Manjimup is a mind-blower... and funny, to boot.

Too funny Wi. Girl for sure, a few wi. People said they where sliding down hills. At 97 Indy supercross after race and the clubs, hotel next to stadium. About 3.30 am mission was to streak naked with just goggles on to get candy, chips. As soon as Deb stepped into the hall, l locked her out, she,s Yelling let me in, come on. Laughing
