Brayton, AC, Webb and more all got around Friese just fine at A1. I think that is one of Kenny's (and maybe Tomac's) weaknesses. He just can't seem to get around people sometime, even if he comes from way back and is considerably faster.

He would immediately square up the guy who just got around and torpedo them from behind in the next turn. He had all kinds of antics he shouldn't have and has been DQ'd, fined, and black flagged for it over the years.

But with age hopefully comes a little wisdom and perspective. His run-ins seem much less frequent and he found speed no one thought he had. He's a top 10 guy now. While you never shake all of your old demons he has done the most of anyone I've seen to repair his image and get better at his craft.

ricky touches on this mentality every race. you'll hear him say "he won't have issue if he can get around (insert rider here) as he races clean".....no one has ever said that while calling a pass on vince. Zacko races wide and hard...but his moves still ain't on vinces level...as zack can hang the whole race when hes on it.

if tony alessi manages anything MXON for us, i'm out. ain't watchin that circus. no offense...just absolutely not a fan of that rodeo.

No ego, and he's happy to chat to any random fan. Same with Tyler Bowers, maybe not everyone's fave guy on the track, but off of it from a fan's perspective he's about as good as it gets.

His starts are better and easily the best starter in SX right now. Friese has fight in him that is obvious, he is without a doubt getting better plus he is very solid.
Just think how good Craig would be if he had even a fraction of the fight in him that Friese has! The second someone comes up from behind Craig he moves right over and he’s done. Just look when Cooper passed him last weekend. Might as well have waved him by!
There’s no doubt Friese has heart and will do anything to be up front and will continue to get better. I followed Henry’s career from start to end and he was the same way. It’s clear he’s going to fight for every position and will do whatever it takes to get it.
You’ve got to respect someone that has heart like that and I hope one day he finds that extra second of speed. If Friese can find that second more a lap he would be very hard to beat!
I think the difference is between a guy like Henry and Friese, Henry hung it out to get that extra second of speed and with time learned how to control it but ultimately paid the price with injuries. Friese doesn’t crash have a highlight reel of crashes and doesn’t really look very out of control. So it’s taking longer to be comfortable with the top level of speed.
One thing is for sure though is he belongs there and earns every position he gets! He’s working hard and fights hard for his results. You’ve have to have respect for someone that has that much fight in them.

It's too dangerous racing for a better position and creates a hostile relationship between riders. . Aggressive riding should be a felony. Racing has gotten out of hand. Everyone should get a 1st place trophy

Most of the time it got a pretty good chuckle except one time we got behind a team of guys that were taking it really serious at a local trail. A buddy and I fell in behind them and stayed on their tail and were pressuring them and I honked my little horn and a guy slid out in a corner and yelled a few profanities. We had a good laugh at the truck after that ride.
