I did this last November for the 2022 Abu Dhabi F1 GP. For me it was a Bucket List trip. It was a great -- though very expensive -- trip. I had a "Paddock Club" ticket so had front straight seats; a suite area filled with great food and wine; track tours; pit access. Very VIP treatment... Tons of memories. Saw so many of my F1 heroes like Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fitttipaldi, MikaH, Martin Brundle! plus all the current players. Was it worth it to fly 1/2 around the world? Yes.

Is your sponsor a personal sponsor doing you a favor or a business that believes it will increase its bottom line by being a sponsor?

There will come a time where some kid at Lorettas will be there on the $$ from Mom's OF earnings. 3 years Stamp it.

Kawasaki team owner is former F1 champion Kimi Raikkonen. I believe he's the one that brought a similar setup to the pits. KTM/Husky MXGP have something similar as well. That little Chipotle logo cost them millions of dollars. Enough to fund a factory team. The Haas team is at the back of the grid and doesn't get the same exposure as the front runners Red Bull, Ferrari, or Mercedes. That said, it is an American team and that's appealing to an American company. Chipotle is expanding its footprint and now has restaurants in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, and France with Germany being the only country not hosting an F1 race. Way more bang for the buck with F1 and with the "drive to survive" series it has increased F1s popularity 20x over.

I think some of you guys are grossly underestimating the number of eyes on Formula 1 compared to SX/MX. Not really in the same league at all.

I would imagine sponsoring a formula 1 team was done to drive more international brand recognition. It would be cool though to have food companies join our sport instead of just energy drinks

The logo is tiny but I would imagine that there is some bang for the buck with the placement. Every time the driver gets out of the car or a close up of the cockpit it's right in your face. Chipotle probably already gets enough free publicity from SX because every rider talks about how often they go. lol

I have no actual knowledge of how these deals work, but I would guess that smaller logo on the Haas car isn't too far off a title sponsorship for a satellite team in SX/MX as far as dollars go?

I agree, he is def a crowd favorite and his personality has a lot to do with that. All of his interviews you hear the crowd going crazy. I see a win coming soon

Definitely a head scratcher. If anyone is riding around the whoops multiple laps on a row, they should be black flagged regardless of the situation.

Sounds like great time with friends and family. A cashless system is going to make life easier for the government to get every last tax dollar out of you and you will be defined by your credit score and like now you pay higher interest rates for less status and the government will be able to lock your account when ever they want. Life will be 10x more expensive if these young generations get everything they want.

The no cash thing really caught us off guard at Anaheim. There was zero warning of it online anywhere. Like you, we didn’t find out until parking that everything was card only. They had machines inside that you put money into and it spits out a card for you, but of course we were charged for that. A warning before going would have been nice.

I just hope and pray he makes it through the SX series healthy so that he and Eli can go bar to bar all summer.
