Great insight on both Malcolm and James from a father's perspective. Like Malcolm, it's hard to not like Big James' personality and demeanor. Great interview, Donn.

A lot of negative things were said about Big James' influence when Bubba was riding for vairious teams. I even heard that some of the reasons JS7 couldn't get a factory ride was because if they got Bubba...they got Big James too. Funny that although I've never met the man, I know a lot of people who have, and nobody I know has anything but good things to say about him. He loves his sons, and wants them to be all they can be. He's intense...but there's nothing wrong with that.

I think it's cool to see him with the MCR/SmartTop colors on. I wonder what life is like with Tony Alessi & Big James in the same semi together! Laughing Shocked

Always enjoy some good conversation with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart at Loretta's each year. Very down to earth folks who have not only seen it all in this sport, but lived it as well. It says a lot when you have a child who reaches the Professional ranks in this game, and they've done it twice..... Great people you'd be proud to call your friends or neighbors.

If there is anyone in the industry I'd like to hang out with for a day it would be this guy. James Sr. rules!

That’s awesome. Met big James at a race a few years ago and he’s nothing but a class act.

Not only that, both of their sons are Supercross Champs which is kinda mind blowing if you think of the odds of that happening.

Great interview!

He may not have the titles, but in my opinion, James was the best to ever throw a leg over a dirt bike. Great interview!

It’s crazy to think that Bubba is always in the discussion of most talented ever, but Big James says Mookie has more talent.

It's no longer Bubba, it's Little James.

That was a good listen. Interesting about how Malcolm might be too nice to people, to the point where it hinders him setting up the bike.

In related news on today's Swapmoto Live Kickstart podcast Donn kind of dropped that Malcolm had a big get-off at the track yesterday (Tuesday). Sounds like he didn't break anything but is pretty beat up, still plans to be a St Louis.

Man I bet those kids coming to his compound for the summer are in for a rude awakening. I bet he's old school brutal on them - character building!

I’m confused. Wasn’t the mini rider question in reference to his grandchildren and not random kids?

It was great to see his face light up when he was asked about being a grandpa.
