My Guess would be the overlapping schedule from the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Championship in 2020. This Year he competed in the NA & European Series, so i think he misses Denver and Foxborough, because on April 3-5 (Denver) they Race in Alabama and April 17-19 (Foxborough) they Race in Monza.

He has had No offseason with broke ribs and has his foot halfway out the door with the lambo thing. He don't want get banged up and not be able to drive the car. He will take less risk knowing he has another gig going on. Not having the support he wants or thinks he deserves based on past performances.

While other guys are all in and have to qualify to pay their bills.

That's why I think he won't do very well this year.

Really? 2019 is a LONG time ago at 37 or 38 years old. Reed has barely ridden since the SX season ended and he's going up against guys who have ridden full MX and practiced all fall/winter. I'd be surprised if Reed even makes it through the first 5 rounds without getting hurt.

I get what you're saying, but you only get to score points if you make the main event. Heat races are just "steps" to make it to the "event".

I’m 23 so I’ve been watching reed as long as I can remember watching supercross racing. He has always been my favorite rider. I have to say this because now I’m going to rip him a little bit.
I agree with some other unpopular opinions of why go racing in his current condition. He knows more than anybody how important conditioning is. I get that it’s his last year and a farewell tour is deserving but man wouldn’t you want to wait and just race at your best? I don’t know how much his ribs are still bothering him. Maybe I’m being too cynical, I just wish he would show us he is working hard. At least post some Instagram stories at the gym😂

Regardless I’ll be screaming my lungs out for him at Glendale opening ceremonies.
