Canvas MX. I’m a little bias but the gear is good and there’s some new products coming shortly that will shake things up.

Wore Fly for the first time this year, going to be hard to get me out of their pants, now, the BOA closure system is freaking rad.

For a guy with a bit of a gut and no hips and arse, getting pants to stay up, especially after a few rides has been a little hit and miss.

Last years Scott 450 gear with the multi tab, Velcro system was pretty good, but the Fly gear with the BOA just does not slip.

Hoping my new gear rocks up in time tomorrow before a ride on Thursday.

Not gonna buy Fox after their Supreme colab. I’d go into more detail but this post would get deleted

It will be at least 2 sets from Shift and probably one O'neill for diversity.

In the past 5+ years i have bought from at least 6 different companies and concluded that:
* the more expensive Fox pants seems to hold up much better
* longer lifetime of the pants doesnt really benefit me because after a while i'd like to put on a new set anyway. After 5 years of riding i still have the fox set, i just use it for mud conditions now.
* One of the more cheaper models is actually the set i like best in terms of feeling and fitment (a shift gearset from their lowest priced range).
*I've stopped looking at the higher priced products since there are enough products in the lower pricerange that work in terms of design, fitment/feeling and endurance for me.
* So i've looked at the lower priced models for the last 3 years and would say i will always look at shift range first and if they have a set that looks decent i will buy that. I really liked Answer but havnt seen a set that i liked in the past 2 years. Never liked O'neill but really liked their 2019 range and same for 2020.

I only consider vented stuff. Never like Alpinestars but the new Supertech (I think is the name) is amazing. Fox is pretty good from the 360 series. The Fox Flexair is incredible confortable and vented.

I decided to finally get new gear, updating from 2015 Alias gear I got when I also weighed about 40lbs more than I do now. Settled on the Alpinestars TechStar Venom because it looked awesome. Ordered jersey, gloves and pants I'd normally wear and the pants were WAY too tight in the thigh/hip area. Gloves and jersey fit perfect, so I returned the pants for a size larger and they're still even a little too tight but I'll plan to just stretch them out. It's not even like the waist is too small but that they're snug just below it. Just a head's up for anyone getting Astars gear because the pants are on the "slim fit" side of things.

The thing is, all of Alpinestars 3 different models fit very different to each other. They also updated the Techstar pant for 2019 and it's not that tight in the thigh/hip area.

Racer (entry level): Baggy
Techstar (mid end): Tight but not formfitting
Supertech(high end): Formfitting/Athletic fit, lightweight, lots of stretch, crazy comfortable.

It seems like Seven gear has really fallen off the radar this year.

Hoping they don't go out of buisiness. They've been a game changer.

My O'Neal retro is on the way right now too!! I got an email from them last week saying it was in stock, so I jumped on it. I can't wait to run it with my 93 CR 125, I'm going to look like an explosion in the day-glow factory!!

New Troy looks great but I don't understand why they are releasing the new line so late (august 23rd) compared to the other brands. Same with Seven, they seem to follow another schedule.

I would rather support Fasthouse as they were the orginal creators of that design.
Most of your t-shirts looks cool tho.

I dunno, but after looking at it closer on their website... No thanks. The build quality looks a little rough around the edges.

I ride so little, I can’t even justify all the gear I keep getting. I’m thinking Shift will be my next set,..but I’m really digging that retro O’Neal gear tho 🤔

That's because Seven have 2/3 series every year. Like 2019.1, 2019.2.

FXR. I did just buy a Seven gear set on clearance though. I’ve been running mostly FXR for the last 3 years.
