I'd say two shattered femurs, a shattered pelvis and a broken humerus is a little more than a digger. It's an auger. Crazy how a little mistake over a jump that should be no big deal for a rider of his caliber can end up in such huge injuries. Good luck with the surgeries and healing.

Dude also had all these injuries in 2017....

"...partially collapsed lung, small bit of air in chest, grade one lacerated liver and adrenal gland. Fractured 10th rib, fractured pelvis, and fractured L1, L2, L3, and L4..."

Chris is one tough beast, hope he heals quickly and fully!!!

Damn. What a bummer...I haven't been there since the track was reversed, but that doesn't look like too big of a jump. I mean, yeah, but not so much worse than RC at Washougal years ago. Crazy how things work out some times. I hope he heals up ok.

That crash barely looked like anything happened, did someone land on him?

Must have just been one of those awkward unlucky ones. To think two shattered femurs from that and what some other guys have walked away from is crazy.

Ouch, Mt.View soil can be like concrete.

Tilled concrete for sure. I've been bugging them for months to bring in some sawdust and woodchips and loam it up a bit. Some days it's almost unride-able IMHO. It's a few loads of biomass away from being the best dirt in the PNW and they can't see it.

There wont be anything speedy about his recovery. Shattered femurs, be happy if he halfway recovers at all. Fuck man, even for a motocrosser , these injuries will be tough to get over. Will not be fun for him at 35yrs and onwards. He was pretty much bionic even before this. Really hoping its not as bad as it sounds but damn. Crossing my fingers for Chris🤞

Then all the more reason to raise a glass to a guy who rips and got bit. To a speedy recovery.

That dirt in the summer is straight up concrete. I used to ride practice days there on occasion, but the dirt scared me too much to ever consider racing there. The layout is really fun, but the thought of ever going down hard on that surface always lingered and kept me from ever really pushing it there at all.

Really sucks to hear this. His body on the other side of the jump must have came down rigid like on his legs.
Can't imagine the slow heal time and the frustration that comes with just trying to do basic things. Showering, using the bathroom, just moving about in the house when he gets discharged. I've been through it, and it sucks so bad.
I hope he has good family and friends there for him through the process.
Heal up Chris, staying healthy after this is priority.

I broke my hip. With two femurs also broken, I hope doesn't have long term problems because I sure did.

Of course he will, you don’t just heal up and shrug that one off as you know!

Cross my fingers for Chris, this the stupidest shit.... So the best you can come up with is a satellite judgment on recovery time and a superstition cherry on top. Appreciate that.

Don't they charge like 45 bucks to practice there? I raced there 6 years ago, and the main line was concrete, and you didn't dare going off the 3 ft wide hard-packed trail.
