A third class drive is better than a first class walk.
I will always have a little truck. Forget the ramp? no problem.
Not once did it ever fail to start or leave me stranded anywhere. *gets misty eyed*
I wish there was something like that available.

When I started racing minibikes in the early 1980's my oldman and myself hit the circuit in one of these Nissan 1400 pickups. Two bikes, gear, cooler, toolbox, gas...we got it done on the cheap. Great memories.
I've seen this truck for the past 2 months or so. Got the price all down the side, sitting up high on them big ole ramps. $21K for a brand new crew cab truck thatll get mid 20s for gas mileage.
But its 2wd. Even though its likely got a locking rear end, something 20 years ago nobody was doing. And most owners aren't going anywhere but gravel roads.
But it's a 4 cylinder... with 200hp. That's close to small V8s of the 90s.
Hell it's got power windows, power locks, ac, a big touch screen radio, and cruise control. Even got the alloy wheels.
I would love a true mini truck, miss my old ones
Finally got rid of it in 2014 when I finally came to terms that they'd never make anything that met those two simple marks.
Going into that kind of debt for a brodozer ain't for me...I'll stick with my '04 Dodge 1500 (and dream about my old pre-Tacoma Toyota 4WD...that thing was awesome...not a squeak or rattle the entire time I owned it....)
Pit Row
let me rip around the pits in his Datsun. I used to stadium truck that thing to the point we blew all the shocks and seat springs. Good times, and that little Datsun took a BEATING like no truck I’ve ever owned.
On another note about the size of current model pickups....it is nearly impossible to buy a pickup with a regular cab and long bed. Toyota does not even offer this anymore. I suppose this is function of selling what the market is buying, but I do remember hearing before the Japanese became car giants, GM saying: “We will tell America what they want to drive”.
