I wouldn't care if a guys 1988 YZ125 looked beat. If the guy's fast enough, let him ride.

Yep old bikes cant keep up with new ones
That’s what I’m saying. I don’t think a ‘90 CR125 gives a away anything to a 2000 + model CR if they are in similar condition.

Jerry Robin would be a good argument here, I reckon.

This race is the main reason I am going to High Point this year.

On another note, I really like the edits on the racerx YouTube channel of the 125 races. Mixing helmet cam and "fan cam" angles along with no commentary gives a nice perspective of being there watching and in the race.

I sure would like to watch the race live on the gold app though...

Well shit, how do I race the Budds Creek 125 class?

That dude on the Old KTM is the hero we all need. Love it.

Hey DC, why is there a limit on the years? Just curious about it. I don't think I've ever heard a reason why.

We didn't want guys out there on vintage bikes, making it dangerous for the guys flying around on current ones. It's supposed to be a competitive, fun exhibition race and we figured keeping it within three years of last model release would be a good guideline and let a lot of people enter, and also keep much slower bikes out. It's worked well so far.

I won't comment on some of the other thing's concerning the 125 race , but I really do dig that you'll make some exception's. For example , like a bike what Ferg posted. Even though older , can still be extremely competitive , and in some cases be in better racing condition then a new 17' - 19' chassis lining up. I mean hell , even a well kept mid 90's bike may rail the hell out of a track in the right hands.
Not a 125, but a personal favorite of mine, since I have an 89 RM250 as well. Looks good for almost 30 years old.

They're like the Acerbis track markers, not hardened but merely just suggestions...

I'd love to see a guy like Lammy on a 90's replica 1-800-collect bike.

I'm sure you already know but Lammy raced one in 2007.

Can read more about the bike HERE.

There's a dude... That should wheel this out and give it a ride with the 125 boys. Won't happen, but what an event it would make.

May as well be part of the "General Specifics" rules that this carnival is going with now.

That was great!

The '89 RM250 was my first full size bike. I'd love to shred on one today.
