Hill is ready for the outdoors so he says

He's full of natural God given talent. Unfortunately he's lazy and has no heart.

Tired of the lazy entitled fuck. All he does is cry, lie, then go out on the track and make a fool of himself. He wouldn’t make it as a privateer. Please give Deano the ride and kick this bum to the curb

Am I the only one who appreciates the honesty?
No, I’m sure there are teams that appreciate it too, so they know to spend their resources elsewhere in the future.

What an entitled, shitty attitude.

He needs to realize the reward is the fact that he’s being paid for an indoor AND outdoor season. What a spoiled brat.

Nobody is knocking him for being honest. But honesty in this case is probably not the best thing when it comes to seeking future employment.
But hey kudos to him for being honest. Probably help other riders in the future of what not to do and what not to say when your results are well under expectations.

The only thing Hill is ready for is “The Pasture!!” Which is technically “Outdoors.”

"Just barely enough effort" Justin finally admits what we all knew. How anyone can still be a fan of this guy is beyond me. Pathetic.
Sad but true...

Jeez this place. So happy to find someone to bash, personally. Someone they don’t know personally. Disgusting.

Since the hill hate train is rolling, who has a hill jersey they want to let go of?

I hope his optimism is justified but it’s more likely he goes 20-20 and that’s IF JGR is lucky.

From RacerX:

JGR/Yoshimura Suzuki’s Justin Hill on outdoors
Justin Hill: I’m actually really motivated for outdoors this year. I usually have a good indoor season, so it’s not like I don’t care, but the risk/reward situation isn’t usually there for me outdoors. If I have had a good indoor season, then I’ve made bonuses, I’ve had good results, the outdoors is a way for me to keep riding and keep sharp. This year I’m really motivated for the 12-round series, though. Before Nashville I had already started outdoor testing, then I hurt my back and that set me back for about two weeks. Now, I’ve been pounding 40s. I went back to Oregon and rode my outdoor track on a stock bike. You know how that suspension is going hard on a rough track—I think I’m in pretty good shape. Even when I was hurt I was able to do the spin bike and get the cardio in. So I think it’s going to be good.

Thoughts?
What a joke

Hill comes across as a kid celebrating 420 day way too often. Tons of talent though.

I think 10th place is pretty good for Hill in his first year on the 450 (his finish last night). Is it good enough for me to keep him if I am JGR team manager? No, but I think the guy is trying. Living up to his full potential? Probably not but many riders are in the same boat for one reason or another.

He is out there doing something 99.9% of us here could never do. Why do we want to beat him up for that? I hope he does well this summer and wish him good luck.

Someone offer him a factory bike with no salary. Only getting paid within the top 5-10 , you see how hard that guy will be training or riding for free all season.

Dude should of been out training instead of riding snow bikes with Deegan. I got Hill good for about two laps.

Just simple jealousy. They can't say it that way so instead, they attack him. The thinking is something like, "If I had his talent I would give a much better effort." Or some other rider they like more would do a better job.

Spoken like someone who half rear ends his work 90% of the time.... Then, once in a great while, and only when it suits you, after already collecting check after check, you suddenly decide to do your job to the best of your ability for a couple days....

I just love those guys on the job.... My bosses love cutting their checks too...

Nice try. You forgot the category of people (myself included) who cannot understand why someone would take the opportunity of a lifetime and squander it due to half-assed effort. And in this case, he’s admitting to it, so it’s not even conjecture.

Yep, sure have. Took a swig, spit it out, poured out the rest.

He doesn't have to race against the peanut gallery, though. It is the grit of the other factory riders -- and guys vying for those spots -- he is judged against, not us doughy fans.

Terrible attitude saying he normally does good enough in bonuses in sx so he doesn't have to try hard in mx and can just mail it in basically so bad.

I like how everyone thinks that's he's just skating by with his ride.

You think these teams would support someone that didn't give a shit about their performance?

Hills laid back persona is the worst thing about him. You don't get to his level without putting in some serious work.

Didn't he just say in that interview that he has just skated by in outdoors in the past?
