I'm talking about places where the water truck can get around the whole track, and prep is mild and lets the track develop naturally as the day goes on.

Most likely the Vintage circuits run these tracks, although many of them are for that race only and not open to the public at other times. A FB post by Warren Reid about Roger Decoster at Saddleback got me thinking about this, and I realized how long it's been since I'd ridden anything like that, and I'd like to find some.

I've never been, thanks.

I'd also say 3 Palms GP and River tracks, and Rio Bravo although VMac has modernized a few jumps.

Cahuilla Creek MX in Anza, CA is awfully close. A few bigger jumps but nothing too supercrossy.

Any of you guys ever get a chance to ride Thunder Mountain in Rusk Tx back in the early-mid 90's? Damn that place was a blast.

Glen Helen. Seriously. Probably the most untouched track on practice and race days that I've been to in any recent times. Very few jumps and none of them are killers. Cahuilla is up there as well for sure.

Leisure Time MX in Medaryville, Indiana is like stepping into another time. It feels like the Field of Dreams of motocross.
I absolutely love that place.

Yes! Marc had that place perfect! I miss it a lot. It was fun and got super rough! No big jumps. They had a LL qualifier there and carted out quite a few guys and a bunch of kids and parents complained that the track got to rough and chewed up. I remember my dad coming home from working the start and he was in disbelief that so many people complained about it being too rough.

The Carlsbad track was a blast! Raced there once on that track in the 450 jr class and ended up beating the 450 b guys. I was dialed that day! I seriously miss that place so much.

If you are ever in CNY, lots of good, old skool trax... Cato MX, Moto Masters, Thornwood, etc. MX is about the only thing I miss from that area, really good scene.

Swan is pretty tame and with a good turnout gets rough.

Place was rad and Marc was super cool. It was a freeway in the morning and nice and rough in the afternoon. I preferred it rough! There was another turn track across the road from the Carlsbad track that was fun too. Lots of off cambers, made for good practice. Wonder what’s goin on there now...

Last time my dad talked to Marc he said Kawasaki bought it from him to do their UTV testing. Honda and Kawasaki used to rent the place out from him when he owned it so they could test their utv’s

Log Road MX in Bronson Michigan. They hold several vintage races, and those classes only bypass a couple of the bigger jumps.

Funny you should mention Central. I live 5 miles from there and am racing there this weekend. It has gotten much more "Jumpy" over the years though.

The Pennsylvania, New York , Ohio area has some pretty amazing Vet & Vintage events. Broome Tioga races the whole National track with all the big hills and very few jumps. Also, there are some Grass Track Motocross events that are all natural terrain.

Red Bud does a grass race in the spring and fall every year. At practice it's just grass on the side of a hill with the track set up by banners.

I rode a Loretta Lynn's qualifier there sometime in the 90s. It had a longer uphill start with a lot of elevation changes around the track.
