I like RC in the booth, I hear and recognize his lack of edjumication but I dig it when he gets fired up. Still think Blair is much more polished but I'm ok with the whole cast this year.

*edit: spelling due to lack of edjumication.

RC had better get it together soon. He's in a must situation.
Ok.

That was funny.

Bye the way, you’re probably gonna need to tell us “the keys to winning” next week’s race...?

Laughing

Oh, wait...is it you’re or your or...maybe...

Note: those of us from NorCal...like the SlipperyDogger & myself...are a bit biased towards Daniel simply because is a great dude.

Has to be hard for RC to talk about 95% of the guys he's commentating on going "so fast" every week, when he would have easily lapped them. No other rider knows what you need to do to win champoinships like he does, and I'm sure he isn't allowed, and shouldn't, say the things he's thinking.

Maybe but 95% of those guys could most likely do a better job than him in the booth. Face it, he didn't earn this job on his announcing abilities, too bad he wasn't able to successful race cars as then we wouldn't have to put up with this...
You may be an intelligent person, but you can't type the last sentence that you typed, and bash someone at the same time.

I'm pretty sure that most of the riders couldn't do any better job than RC is doing. It's clearly not an easy thing to do week in and week out.

Ralph said "Hole shart" - brought his "A game" for sure.

Check it out on the highlight reel. His chonies must've been through a mudder in the booth last night with all of the action.

RC improves each event and tonight he was especially good. RC saying "he is buckling, just buckled" was bitchen telling it like he sees it. Find me an announcer would will be so honest. Noticed Blair got fumbled up once tonight but he was better because he was speaking slower. I
think the show needs to show Blair and Wil instead of just audio. Ralph was A plus as always.

The "He buckled" line caught me off guard.
I like to believe that my English is pretty good, but the moment I heard it I was totally confused, as to what Ricky meant.

OP this crowd cant stand a former champion speaking his mind. They prefer the color announcer to go middle of the road, not offending people and either just saying he doesn't know what's going on with the guy or just pretending nothing is happening.

The buckling comment was dumb. it was the first lap. both cooper and sexton had a long time to make up for it. i wouldnt call finishing 2nd or 3rd buckling. if they had made mistakes at the end of the race and cost themselves good results then i would say they buckled. Ralph did the same with tomac being buried in the pack in the LCQ (he was like 6th) and if he would make it to the main, it was the first fucking turn. they both need to chill out a bit and let the race unfold.

Agree! RC is bold and wise and knew what to say in this circumstance.

Actually no, the OP is correct with "you're" as it is a contraction of "you are", i.e., "you are an idiot" and "you're an idiot" are both correct.

Your understanding is incorrect and you're wrong.

Just watched a snocross with Marc Travers (and BrianK).

Marc Travers is gold on the mic.

Only positive I can see with RC is he laughs his ass off after watching big saves

I don’t think he is going anywhere though, big ego and Feld will give him the time to try to improve.

We don’t need to kill him for everything he says. We know he isn’t very good. He did clarify that he misspoke on Sexton.

I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just not as enthusiastic for me. I don’t get the same hyped up feeling watching the races like I used to. I have announced at local races with certain announcers and am a true believer in the announcers building off each other’s energy. It seems to just be lacking a little between Ralph and Ricky

I would rather hear Ricky fumble than listen to Ralph update the points 3 times a lap as if every lap is the ‘penultimate’ lap...Ralph tries but it’s hard to listen to...

It is not just RC. The entire broadcast has been lacking this year. So much talk and so little coverage of the action. From that bimbo at track level talking about what a rider ate last week, to Ralph counting points two minutes into the main, to DBlair blathering on and on while all kinds of action is happening on the track, they just continually miss the call of the race. RC adds next to nothing.

The showing of the previous weeks highlights or last years KR crash DURING THE MAIN is particularly offensive.

Did anybody hear CR22 on RDL? Ralph is goading him to talk about Wilson's future contracts, but CR swings right to the track to point out different rhythms that are working to a particular guys advantage. CR was really pretty good. Even that Nascar guy a couple weeks back made the Ralph/RC duo look clueless.

Overall the entire production has been very poor.

My Son-in-Law moved in with me a few months ago, and he has started watching with my grandson and I each week. He would be the prototype "casual/ new fan" that the broadcast is trying to appeal to.

Halfway thru one of the heats, he turned to me and said "What the hell is up with these announcers?"

That says it all, really...

Last night, the announcing/coverage was comical. The broadcast missed Tomac’s heat race engine quitting completely. While he was leading. Then they missed Marvin’s heat race crash and falling from 3rd to 11th, while Daniel talked endlessly about who know’s what. My wife, who could not care less about Moto, says “these guys don’t have a clue about covering a race”. Fortunately I have a volume control and after trying to listen, benevolently muted the Ralph “Is this the night......” show.

Ironically, the crowd that knew even less were the people in the stadium. A good friend that was at the race kept texting to find out where AF24 was, what happened to ET3, etc.

They (Ricky and Ralphie) need to get their heads out of the booth and look out and see what is happening on the track. When you're watching the race you can hear the crowd volume go up when something happens. One of them needs to look up from the monitor and see what is going on. Having Blair blathering on and on about who know what while Muskie had fallen was ridiculous. Send Blair or the Aussie girl out to the paddock and do a little reporting on what may have happened to a particular rider.

I don't understand why we have to hear about NASCAR every single broadcast! NASCAR does not talk about moto and I watched part of their race on Sunday which was also in TN and their attendance was easily half of what Supercross was and the broadcast was on FS1 so there's no way it's an NBCS thing.

They didn't even mention AF24 not lining up for the LCQ. They're pretty bad.

Not true. Every Thursday the nbc nascar analysts have a segment for sx. Motorsports should help promote each other. Rather have that , you know nfl or nba would never mention it

agreed, but we don't hear much about WRC or IMSA racing.

IMSA GT4 is pretty cool, they race real cars that you can actually go buy.
