Notice no one is around him though.
Derek flies, much respect, that guy is gnarly!
With that said, this dude looks legit fucked up. The way he is sitting frog legged over the bike looks like he broke his pelvis or his hips. Not to mention hes hugging his exhaust pipe and hes no doubt been knocked out. He also looks like he was probably a decent rider despite making a bad decision. I think the OP might want to show a little empathy for this dude who probably is still in the hospital and is unlikely to be riding again anytime soon. I think we can all find amusement in goon riding and certainly be critical of this riders poor judgement but this crash looks terrible.
For those that say he was in the right, where should the slower rider be? In the middle line? I am just not sure where I should be in that situation. I was warming up, so I stayed inside. Never saw that coming until the last sec. It is not a 3 wide type of jump.
It was a scary moment that happened very quickly, just happy he survived. A lesson for all involved!
From your video there are obvious signs that people had been taking that line recently. There's the other video showing someone else taking it. There are no track markers there at all. Complaining about those things takes a little bit away from the rest of your issues. Could very well be that the guy didn't check up because he saw you looking and slowing, hard to say. I certainly can't see why your buddy would be upset, he didn't do anything wrong to him that's visible on the video.
I'd recommend renting a track for a private day.....
I dont think anyone is saying you're in the wrong. This guy was clearly being reckless. As someone who's riding this track many times, I think that the rider was completely in the wrong. I dont think rubbing his nose in it, so to speak, though, is in good form. I would be very surprised if this guy is not severely injured. I think this may be an instance though where one can be grateful they weren't injured while pointing out that reckless riding is dangerous and leave it at that.
Also, I've ridden there probably 50 times or so and I've never once seen anyone ride that inside line. It's definitely not part of the intended track even though it definitely shows that people were riding it.
2. He got hurt. Bad. You made a video about it and called it karma because he passed you.
3. You started a thread about it on vital.

With that said, I’m glad the kid is ok and hopefully he learns from riding like a dick and doesn’t do anything like that again. No matter what happens or who the person is, I never want to see anything like that happen.
Pit Row
I stood there in shock for probably 30 secs with my hands on my head just praying he was ok.
Am I ashamed of being angry, yes a little, but I had also just been blindsided by someone with no regard for my safety.
I only left the scene after he regained consciousness and was moving his arms and legs. It took me a good hour to get the hearbeat back to normal, scared the crap out of me.
I'm also wondering about the location of that building.
The edits and mockery of a downed rider regardless of circumstances is a little much imo, not my style.
I get how you feel, and understand. Although with all your experience, i feel you could of just shook this off and be grateful nobody else was involved or injured.
The berm blew out and popped him towards the finish line tower. You can see the dirt fly up. He had probably hit that same line at that speed multiple times with no problem.
Imo looked like you guys were going to slow for the motocross track. Maybe you and your friend should of been riding the quad and kids track that is behind the starting gate.
Sorry we don't go balls out first lap on the track in 2 months..
If there was someone faster coming up behind me I would have moved off the track. had nowhere to go.
Cant anticipate someone cutting that much time off that corner.
I value some thoughtful input, and can admit when im wrong...but really?
Yes, I always watch a few laps, see how the speed is.
Ensuring I enter when safe and not intruding on anyone coming up.
If you've actually ridden that track, you would know that no one could come through that corner so fast on the inside
Cheers
