I understand what your'e saying but it's business plain and simple. And I'm sure Dean is thrilled he got the call, much better for Dean than Husky giving it to someone else.

They have a guy who won the 450 title last year and another who won the 250 east sx title last year. What were they supposed to do? Drop one of those guys for someone who is typically a 5th to 10th place finisher? I love Dean but come on, think logically.

Also, from what I understand Husky has still been there for Dean and supported him in a big way. Dean and Husky seemingly maintained a good relationship.

Edit: meant to quote fourfourones post.

Genova gets shit for 'throwing his money away on a team' but some want Husky to 'just find' god knows how much so Dean can be factory again - really???

How many 3 man factory teams are there? NONE!! The only solution for Husky 'would' have been to keep Zac down another year but why make him wait he deserves the 450 ride!!

All this and I am a big Dean fan (for obvious reasons)!!
I also wouldn’t be surprised if Zach had a clause in his contract guaranteeing him a spot if he wins a title.

Ummm, I would feel like there was only enough budget for one guy and as you stated the other guy was better. He would understand 100% . Racing is about results at the factory level not being a good guy. Racers understand that and if you have the opportunity to get back in that spot you jump on it. Not enough rides or money in the sport to go tell teams to pound sand because your a salty baby.

He got that ride just in time to head east. That's when the privateer struggle really starts. Smart move.

This is one of the dumbest things happening in MX right now, beside the LIME. The guy was riding thee Factory bike Supplied by the team. Not having him paid, but still a Factory rider... Its the dumbest thing I've heard, twice now; JS7 was riding for "free" when he went to Suzuki mid-year. But he was given his very own Factory bike he would ride in 2013 once they could pay him. Somehow with "no budget to hire him" they still had enough money to come up with a bike that is between $80-100K for each weekend of the 2012 AMA Nationals. Same situation with Deano. He's already the rider, now you have NO ONE and you still wait a couple weekends to "actually" sign him? He was not even close to as BROKE as Supercross LIVE was trying to push as well.

This came about because Andy didn’t want to drive the Sprinter to Minneapolis from Temecula.

That is a problem when 5-10th best in the world is no big deal and not worth a huge pay check. Imagine F-1 or any other pro sport being that way.

It would bother me less when I was cashin' them checks!

two spots on team, one is 250 SX champ, one is 450SX champ, sounds like a good lineup to me

Anderson is out? OK, who is available? Wilson?! AWESOME!!

" Bobby Hewitt: “Dean has been a part of our program for many years. I am very excited to have him back under the truck for the remainder of the 2019 AMA Supercross Championship Series.” "

Obviously not a full factory ride, being "under the truck" rather than "under the tent". Must be a deal like Martin had where he pitted behind the factory rig...

They asked him to ride for the team before the season started with Zacho's injury but Dean chose to stick behind his sponsors for a bit. Then when Jason ended up getting hurt as well he still chose to do another week with his own crew to give back to those sponsors as much as possible.

Dean's bikes were purchased by Rockstar for him, then the team floated him some parts, mostly engine and ECU. His suspension was supplied by WMR.

Well there are many that are that way....actually worse in some auto racing worlds many of the drivers are only getting rides by bringing sponsor money to the team (yes this happens in F1) so they are actually paying to be on the team....this is also happening in MXGP where proven top ten racers are being replaced by younger less talented riders because they have large sponsor money they are bringing to the table...Team Honda and Kawasaki are two that come to mind...

Obviously you are WRONG!

Because, the brain-trust ‘round h’yar...just today...went all keybaord warrior and informed us that this is all “Fake News”...DeanO’s been on full Factory stuff that’s shipped Next Day from Europe via special courier during this entire season!

Here’s the FACTS!
7mm frame
Herlings autographed special 3 speed
Special White paint with Platinum metal-flakes
Dan Bilzerian’s personal money clip installed in air-box to hold bonus check
Nitrogen charged “52 Airs” from Shorty’s private Texas War Chest
448.2 cc Swedish Bikini Team engine w/Fuzzy Slipper piston
Etc., etc., etc.

Ya should have done your homework!

I feel bad for anyone driving to Minnesota right now. Remember the shit show, massive snow storm in Minneapolis at last year's SX? Same type of storm rolled through today. Hopefully it quits and the roads are all cleaned up quick. Last year was an absolute nightmare.

That’s not a Husky problem, it’s an industry problem. I’d love to see everyone out there making a great living but unfortunately they don’t.

You are absolutely right, they still supported and I am sure that is why Deano is back too ;

I think however that in general the teams should do their budget while including the average injury rates.

More teams should help out good "privateers", just in case, for instance with some "used" parts and transportation.

Because you can't have 20 people in the staff while having half of your riders.

To clarify, what i am trying to say is I think it is crazy to see modern teams having 20 people in the staff for 2 or 3 riders. "Back in the day", in the DeCoster era, most gp riders were travelling the world in their own car & trailer with a friend, while managing the sponsors but also doing the paperwork to cross all the frontiers ...

Remember Andrew Short too, when he came back as a privateer, his results were very good and similar, and right now for Deano too, very good and similar : that means it is possible to do it without all the complexity to support/secure more the riders ...
