My only gripe is that they probably should have pumped the standing water off the start straight. Aside from that, all good.

Its moto... Its the “hardest sport on earth”. NFL players play in snow, riders ride in the mud, thats just how it works.

...dont want it to affect your championship? Dont suck at riding in the mud. Simple math.

Sweet jesus! Don't like mud? Don't ride mx bikes then and stick to tarmac!

I LOVE watching mud races as it makes the racing far more interesting. It's nice to see these racers look like mere mortals.

Which of the normal front runners wasnt a front runner last night? The only person to be able to kick them selves is Dylan and Barcia. Smoked clutches, and that is something they control.

What if the dirt is too soft on some east coast tracks and it ruts up really bad, would that affect someone's championship if they're a better hard pack rider? What would you preferred them to do? Cancel the race, even though they could do several jumps? Just have a 16 round series? This isn't a local series or NASCAR, with purpose built tracks where they can push an event back a day. It was race last night or don't race at all. The only time I can remember a race actually being cancelled was Kenworthy's, and that was because the track was literally under feet of water. I just really do not understand the line of thinking that says "they shouldn't race if it's muddy."

Slide out of the gate on the mud, goggles get filled in and clutch disintegrates. Sounds like a real representation of supercross to me.

To make is this interesting why don't we water the tracks to this extent on purpose then? If it's SO hardcore racing.

If you would have turned those fans and live tv away it would have done more harm than good.
I like riders racing on normal condition so we can see the speed but the elements play a small factor in a 17 round series.

If it was up to people like the OP they would also want to cancel racing at tracks like Southwick.. That would have an adverse affect on the championship since only a few top riders can master the sand..

The sands of New England bring us Southwick, a legendary American motocross track nestled in the trees behind a western Massachusetts high school. Southwick makes its triumphant return to the AMA schedule in 2016, because it always will be “the sand race” to AMA MX pro racers. Soft beach sand over a harder base layer make Southwick a brutal racetrack once a few laps have been thrown down on it. The biggest and scariest braking bumps of the year can always be found here.
Gnarliest feature: The sand. Southwick does not have much in the way of single track features, because there’s only one thought any rider may have when uttering its name: So much sand.

Give me a fucking break. These are the best dirt bike racers on the planet, if they can't manage their machine enough to make a clutch last 15 minutes then they deserve to DNF and lose the points.

Some gripes Ive heard here are pretty ridiculous.

Malcolm crashes in the whoops- whoops suck get rid of em

Tracks are 1 lined- we need an obstacle that will separate riders where some excel some dont

Davalos crashes big at the start last year- Starts are dumb, dangerous, get tid of em n do staggered

Kenny gets 2nd after staggered start- Staggered starts are dumb get rid of em

Barcia rolls triple gets arm broken- Triples are dumb just fill em in n hit big tabletops...

Mud races suck- cancel the night show

-We need something that will shake up the series sometimes

Dungey says all the right stuff- Booooring, we need more personality and drama

Coop finger guns Kenny- What a brat we need professionals out there


Luckily they just keep doin what they do its a great product...

In these kind of events, luck play a big factor. Ask Barcia. This muddrace has absolutely nothing to do in SX environment, nothing. Hillbilly freak show is what it looked like on TV, fastest guys on the planet rollin around and over jumps like they never been on a sx track before.

Makes the sport look ridiculous.

17 rounds, I would really hope Feld start considering to drop one bad race per year.

While I totally agree with the majority that the race always goes on, I have some advice for all you bad ass keyboard warrior’s. Sarcasm is mostly a good thing, but calling people idiot’s, pussies, gay etc. (these aren’t the exact adjectives used, but you get the point), really isn’t necessary. I doubt you tough guys would say these things to people’s faces. If you would with sincerity, I question your worth as s human being. 2nd thing. Don’t respond at all to these threads if they upset you so much. This isn’t that big a deal. Peace out.
