Watch 2016 MX and see Roczen thrash him multiple times.
Run him down from well back, pass and drop him.

Do folks here really watch the sport?

Marv caught, passed and left him straight up in the first moto at High Point this past year.

Whether Eli would’ve done it or not, will never be known, but pulling aside to let him by was the smartest thing Joey could’ve done in that situation. For more than one reason Wink

I can see the move conjuring a certain amount of job security, rather than fans or mystique. Hard to knock a guy who's that good though. I hope he makes a real mark this season.

Did he though...? Eli started off in a 50 point hole (his fault kinda yes) after the first two rounds with the crash/pant issue and then missing the next race with the shoulder. Not exactly “Straight up.” He dominated round 3 and continued through the season to be the clear best guy. His championship was lost literally lap 4 of A1. You can’t give any of these guys a 50 point head start and expect to win the championship no matter how many races you won.

Your not wrong by any means.....but that’s RC he was a freak at that point. Eli’s affinity for the weird crap I don’t believe would allow him to overcome such a deficient plus he is better than the others but not how RC was against his field at the time.

I feel like the field is a lot deeper in 2019 than 2002.

I’m a huge tomac fan and hope his inconsistentsy and dumb mistake are a thing of his past. With no press realease they must be planning on being on the gate at A1 with full confidence to go after the title. Good luck to all title favorites for a healthy full series battle for the title.

I don't have time to read all three pages to figure out if Tomac is injured or not and don't want to get in the middle of a internet battle.....Grinning

So what's the scoop is he injured or not?

Someone already said he will be at A1. A credible poster on thumper talk also said he's fine and training in Colorado

Thanks for that, I must have missed it. Good news then and can't wait for A1.

Need to bleach my eyes after reading through these comments. There's a reason I stay of Vital MX during the off-season.
