My bad. I saw the Vegas Monster Cup with the asterisks and mixed them up. 1 less thing to complain about ?

I’m on the west coast, and will subscribe. But the casual fan on the East Coast isn’t going to start watching heat races at 11pm or mid night. the ratings will be horrendous.

Bad ratings will only hinder the budgets the teams are going to go race with in the coming years.

There are only 3 rounds that are delayed and start after 10pm on the east coast.

For the last few years they have not had any commercials during the actual races. Not sure if there will be content to fill the commercial time but either way you will see the full races.

I hate commercials, it's one of the reasons I don't watch TV. I pay $10 aonth to not see commercials on YouTube, my time and sanity is worth it.

On Fox they did not go to commercial during any live racing. The commercials were stacked during the breaks in action. So it seemed like there were a lot of commercials. But the races went uninterrupted for traditional commercial breaks. 20+ minutes for the main event without commercials.

The outdoors can’t go, 35+ minutes commercial free, so they interrupt the broadcast for commercials.

Is this for US fans only? I'm in Canada and the only thing i see to buy is last years outdoor series. Also would be pissed if I bought the "discounted" package for MEC, and have to pay the same amount again for outdoors.

I know they didn't cut the races for commercials on TV. Just curious how it's going to work with the gold pass, if there will be any "extra" coverage during the TV commercials. I'd like it if they could just show a stadium camera such as in MX between the races.

if you have NBC and NBCSN you can watch a good portion for no extra cost and if you wait a day I'm sure you can see it for free too.

You're missing the competing offers. Maybe Fox wanted to show them all as a one hour blast the following saturday? Maybe they didn't see the growth in viewership that was anticipated and wanted to cut what they were paying. Maybe they've picked up the Lingerie Football League for saturday night.

OK, I know this is Vital and it is hard for most people to have the required attention span to absorb information Smile but for international viewers, including Canada, this is what we have available for online:

Supercross - on the Feld-provided Supercrosslive.tv site. $119 USD unless you signed up before MEC. NBC Gold is US-only. Not sure if one could use a VPN to access NBC Gold, moot point for me as I re-upped with Supercrosslive back in October

Pro Motocross - NBC Gold app, hopefully still available worldwide in 2019. I don't believe this is set to change.

Obviously if you have a cable provider in your area that broadcasts NBCSN regular TV is also an option. For example, there is a local cable company in Delta, BC that broadcasts NBCSN I believe. There are likely other companies in Canada who broadcast it, but none of the "majors" in Telus, Shaw, Bell or Rogers.

So yeah, the non-US viewers are still sort of getting the shaft. We have options, they are more expensive and in the case of SX I think they may have technical issues. The Supercrosslive streaming last year was pretty hit and miss, however for 2019 it looks like they have migrated away from Cleeng as the stream hosting company, and have partnered with a company ViewLift which is at least based in the USA. Cleeng was primarily Dutch, and I found the customer service pretty shoddy.

So if your outside the US you have to buy the 130$ international stream package PLUS the outdoors on nbc Gold. About 200$ US. Damn we got the shaft. Ahh well, I’m still gonna watch SX

Not sure why they wouldn’t put both series on a NBC Sports Gold package deal and allow those outside the US to get the supercross as well?! Much dearer for those of us outside the USA now!

Only thing is that if you were paying for the AMA Nats anyway, it’s like paying $40 for SX with no BS.

To me it is worth it but I understand those who are miffed about it.

Thanks for the summary!

Our only option is to buy the Feld live feed for $119US and hope for 2020 that the Gold App opens up for us. It is great for mx. Was really hoping we would get it for SX but they fucked us.

Use a FireFox browser and install the Hola extension and make it show that you are posting from the US. That should work.

Do any of you realize that Fox was bought out by Disney, which the deal didn’t include any of the Fox Sports networks? I had the sports package with Comcast that didn’t include FS2 and now that we’re on DirecTV Now we still don’t get FS2, but get both NBC channels. I was always searching for the races that aired on FS2 on YouTube either that night or the next day.

We all should be thankful that Feld was able to establish a deal with NBC and their sports network to provide us with live coverage. The ability to tie in the gold app is ideal for those who want on demand and no commercials. Can’t imagine what would of been if NBC and Feld didn’t make a deal. Especially with all the uncertainties with the Fox Sports networks being left behind. Probably would had to resort to RacerX Twitter for live race updates.

I’m just glad MavTV isn’t involved, because trying to watch an outdoor race with their terrible resolution was unbearable. That would of been a step in the wrong direction.

I just purchased the combined MX and SX gold package and watched some outdoors while at work today.

I wonder if you'll be able to start watching the stream from the beginning, say, an hour after the stream started. It would suck if you had to wait until the entire show was over and then archived to watch from the beginning.

Way to screw over probably a quarter of the viewer base for these races Feld/whoever the fuck.

One thing I definitely like better with FOX than the NBC Nationals broadcast is the leader board. I like how FOX always lists the top 5 riders and then rotates through the rest of the field - as opposed to NBC's scroll at the top.

And I think FOX constantly displayed interval times while NBC displays things I don't care about like "fastest lap" and "brand".
I gave up on both and just have my laptop open with live timing and scoring.

I will say in our sport it is tough to cover everything that is happening. Hoping things get better.
