Bro if you want a real challenge play online. AI in racing games will never be as good as players themselves. Even the best players in forza and other car racing games think the same we do while to some the AI is “really good!”

Not sure how I feel about MEC2 hopefully better physics.. and bigger whoops

Personally for me, I did TONS of online racing on every game up until supercross. I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore, the dirty riding, tough blocks everywhere, horrible lag.

The bottom line is that the AI shouldn’t be so bad. Look at the pic I posted, I’m like 6-7 bike lengths ahead before the first turn. And that’s the hardest difficulty. That’s just embarrassing.
Give them a 45 second head start or so off the start. Makes u have to run perfect laps to get them by the end depending on how big of a lead u give them.

I see a bunch of new stuff. Sand, 1/2 lane jumps, possibly water, and some big grey thing?

Looks like a turn in the stands. I wish an outdoors game had a track editor so we could make legit sand tracks and tracks that are spread out with elevation. Hopefully milestone is perfecting it in sx then translating it to a motocross game

I just see the over under jumps, don't really see any sand, could be wrong though. that would be sick and it does look like you can edit specific parts without having to delete a mile of track after it.

how about those 2 yellow pieces there?
i hate that part of the first game, having to delete half a track just to change a space or not being able to reset the start straight after being placed

ooh, maybe! that would be awesome, I just thought those were parts of the track being edited, but it would be weird to have two parts highlighted to edit so you may be right!

There is an interview posted a day or so ago with one of the Game designers and Sand is confirmed to be in the Track editor and according to him We will be able to feel a difference in the Handling of the bike in each section. Ruts forming each lap differently was talked about also. I will find the video and post a link. No gameplay video as of yet though.

Think he was talking about the almost yellow looking sections on the top and bottom of the track...

Be interesting if they brought some of the Ride 3 stuff over to it, saw a video of customization for Ride 3.
Ecu, motor tumbling, crankshaft balancing and few others. Then they also have a graphics creator of some sort.

finally opened the game and tried to play it. i'm on an xbox one, and launch the game. i see the splash screen for a few seconds then get spit back out to the dashboard. this a known bug with a workaround? can't imagine so given the game is almost a year old…

I love how Milestone are incorporating the whole sport, not just the racing. They are doing their best to make it the NBA2K of our sport which is an amazing thing, especially considering Milestone is not a huge team. Press day, meeting the fans, training, practices, qualifiers, mains, points series, career...wow.

Not being allowed to race for real teams is obviously some kind of breach in licensing. At least we have real teams in this game. But there are probably certain aspects of the license that prohibits this. Just like you can't play the real Justin Barcia on Red Bull KTM. That is licensing and I appreciate the fact that they keep it as real to true life (or to the past year it's based on) as possible.

I've said all along that a game is way more than just physics and ghost racing in exhibition races. Milestone gets it and I'm super thankful they do. This looks super immersive.

Do you know that for sure? It looks to me you're at least allowed to run the stock graphics of the bikes in career mode. That still leaves open the possibility of joining a team later. I have a feeling that what they showed in the video was the beginning of a career mode. But hey, at least we aren't forced to ride with go pro graphics that make the bike look hideous.

Not sure how it’s a breach in licensing? I am fine if you can’t switch pro riders to different teams but a created rider should be able to join a team. Just like madden I can create anyone and put him on any team. The teams and all the sponsors are already there. I loved in the first few gp games you could join a team and have the gear and everything. It’s so annoying here’s a giant motostuff sticker on the graphics with plain fenders for yourself.

Man I see MXGP pro with a MESX mask on. Hope I am wrong.

I couldn't get into MXGP pro, I jumped back into MESX and I just seemed better to me in the traction area. Pro just had that riding a jet ski feel.

Yeah MXGP pro is so wishy washy to me. MESX definitely has the traction feeling that I prefer. Maybe it’s not as realistic but it makes it more enjoyable for sure.
