That rear wheel alone probably weighs as much as a modern supermini.
That bike was a heavy pig. When it backfired that kickstart would turn your shin black & blue for a month. Blink

That pic is '77. I also had the '75 MX400B I rode at Rio, but my dad bought that thing and we lived out in the boondocks. So when I ran outta BelRay, I had to settle for riding that tractor until I found a way to civilization for supplies.

52. But one hip is only 4 months old and a knee is being replaced with a brand new one on 28-Nov. I’m growing younger!

32 Here. 33 in another month.

The ole two way kick starter? You kick it, it kicks you back? Ha. My 450 used to kick back on occasion. Hurt like a bastard when when you got it in tennis shoes.

Very cool. I still got my 2005 Kawasaki z1000 to feed my two-wheel Jones.

A buddy of mine had his old 250 kick back but it started. He put it in gear and then shot backwards into a wall! Edit: It was a two stroke.

HaHa, Thanks. I got a late start though. Went to watch a race at Baylands around ‘85. Remember Joey Schlag, Toney Flores and some others. Watched the race and decided “I’ve got to do this sh!t” and started riding. Started racing about a year later, one year in the Vets, then moved to OT. A bunch of kids half my age kind of adopted me a and wouldn’t let me wuss out on much.

It's very seldom I find myself third oldest in the room, except that time we went to the casino on a week day afternoon.

That's good to hear. Used to like going to Baylands as well. Knew Joey Schlag too.

The 75 MX400 (white shark) was the bike I took to England and raced in '77. It was new in the crate. Got my ass handed to me but learned so much.

I'm sitting on 60. Like Mickey Mantle said, "If I'd known I was gonna live this long...I'd have taken better care of myself".
